You want readers to fly to Austria just to try a piece of pie ? |
What do you think it should be? Wet? Soggy, damp, moist? It's dry and crisp. NOT "soft." NOT "wet." |
Yikes |
|
Pizza pie !!!
Apple pie !! Peach pie ! P.S. What's a cobbler ? |
My 6 year old doesn’t like any pie either. Fruit, pumpkin, chocolate etc. Crazy. Everyone else loves pie! I imagine she will love it someday. She certainly has plenty of opportunities to try it! |
| My favorite postpartum meal was a homemade fresh peach pie. I shared a tiny bit of it with my husband. Yes, I said meal. And I’d do it again *shakes fist at op like a Scooby-Doo villain* |

Fresh fruit in a crisp buttery crust is delicious.
And there's a reason there are rock songs about pie. It is sexy in a way that, say, a Hummingbird cake just isn't. |
This is an interesting observation. You are correct, and I like the way your brain works. |
Those songs aren’t really about pie 😘 |
Right. I think everyone knows that.

PP.
Maybe this thread isn't really about pie, either? OP? |
Haha, you aren’t from around these parts are you? |
| I guess I’m the odd person out, but I can’t get excited about pie. Give me a good tiramisu or lava cake and I’m in heaven, but crust and cooked fruit just doesn’t do it for me. |

I’m old. I hate pie. I’ve always hated pie. I do like some of the fillings though.
Why do younger people insist upon making over-generalizations about diverse groups of people and entire generations. Yes, like I just did. Just tell the cute story about your neighbor. There’s no need to leap from your neighbor as an individual, to a huge, multi-generational group of people. Grumpy oldster. I truly don’t get pumpkin pie, but will try very hard not to over-generalize about the people who seem to eat it happily. |
You seem stuck in the 90s. |
