+1. They are nuts. That’s not the definition of public Ivy and Notre Dame has never been named a Public Ivy. There’s a wiki page on the topic of public ivies which explains all. |
Yeah, right, lmao |
Seriously. Also, I hope the bolded was a typo and the PP meant Penn, not Penn State. How utterly stupid to say that actual Ivies aren't "true Ivies." |
Bingo. |
It really is. I come here for the laughs nowadays. |
A reminder that the Ivy League is just sports league that has brought 8 schools together. All of those member institutions who play in that league are, in fact, true Ivies. I find it hilarious that people on DCUM hate high-academic college sports but LOVE talking about the Ivy League left and right. Some even talk about a D3 conference (NESCAC). |

UPenn and Cornell U are part of the Ivy League. By the way, the Ivy League is a division 1 sports league- like the big 10.
You can debate whether the academics at these two schools compare with the other IVy league universities but it’s a fact that they are in the Ivy League. |
Easy for you peolple to say.....in fact you just did.....count another microaggression...yes, they do add up....and take a toll....only if you knew....but you don't and never will. Bye Felicia. |

Everybody I know, of every race and ethnicity, is tiptoeing around in fear of offending someone. That’s not healthy for anyone in a pluralistic society.
Nobody is downplaying actual aggressions, which should obviously not be tolerated. But sometimes you are in a crowd and bump into someone. If that person is of a similar background as you, they probably assume you simply weren’t paying attention & everything is fine. But if they are of a different background from you, it’s possible they will brand the bump as a microaggression and assume you are a complete jerk, even though it’s likely (given the previous tiptoeing comment) that you simply weren’t paying attention. I’m aware that “bumping” is a simplistic example a microaggression, but if you substitute just about any other minor slight for the bumping, the pattern is similar. There are many hucksters in the U.S. hoping to profit from hatred. Let’s not fall into their traps. |
white person alert |

Love the tiptoeing I hear everyday from Trump, DeSantis, Youngkin, fake CRT hysteria, slavery had personal benefits for the enslaved, DEI cancellations, affirmative action rulings but legacy lives on......
Just gotta learn how to ignore those "bumps" in a crowd..... |

Howard, an alt-Ivy? Who wrote that article?
|
| UCSD has to be a typo |
