Say what you will about the old college message boards, but if they were still around you wouldn’t have clowns like this talking incessant booty chatter.

Public Ivies do not refer to publicly funded institutions. They are “public” in the sense of being more broadly available to the rungs of society that lack sufficient prestige to go True Ivy.

One of the most prominent Public Ivies is Notre Dame, which is a private school. Others are Cornell and [b]Penn State[/b], which are nominally Ivy League but not True Ivies.

Seriously.   Also, I hope the bolded was a typo and the PP meant Penn, not Penn State.  How utterly stupid to say that actual Ivies aren't "true Ivies."  [/quote]

A reminder that the Ivy League is just sports league that has brought 8 schools together. All of those member institutions who play in that league are, in fact, true Ivies. 
I find it hilarious that people on DCUM hate high-academic college sports but LOVE talking about the Ivy League left and right. Some even talk about a D3 conference (NESCAC).[/quote]
