Naw.

I’m 35 and just posted and work in sales. I make anywhere from 250k-750k. I married at 32 a man who is my age and who has a similar income. Lots of ambitious men out there to choose from. We also both went into the marriage with a prenup so if it ever goes tits up we at least leave with what we came in with and have an idea is what we leave with. Filters out the losers.

I’d be more worried for my sons marrying a freeloader. Happens way more often to men than women.

I live a similar life to your daughter, but with kids. I'm 32yo, married, 2 kids, own a business making mid 6 figures. DH and I both work remotely so we travel and explore a ton as a family while the kids are little. I'm really hoping to set a good work/life balance for my kids and I cannot wait to see what they do when they grow up!

Nice way to make it about yourself … Unreal.

That’s… not really similar at all.

It's a "one-up"...

It’s a step down, I think. She’s got 2 kids and third in her husband. OP’s DD has the luxury of having her money all to herself with some peace and quiet.

Do you live under a rock?

Corporate law, consulting, sales, any number of professions offer that earning potential at a relatively young age.

But all if thosecrequire an extra degree, no?
Hence, more tuition (and miscellaneous) college costs.

So who is paying for that?

Wrong.

Both DH and I are in sales and have a combined HHI of between 750k-1.5 and we graduated from GMU with basic business degrees.

Well yeah. Sales has nothing to do with academics. It’s about making people feel good about your product, being attractive and engaging, it’s not like anyone really expects sales folk to understand how their widgets they sell work

This whole thread is obnoxious. FFS I hope your response is sarcasm.

Guess you’ve never heard of assortative mating, the new normal.

Men making $200k aren’t marrying preschool teachers, nurses or secretaries; and women making $200k aren’t marrying plumbers, garbagemen or some guy who works in an oil field. Rather, the $200k women & the $200k men are marrying each other.

Sorry, I am in sales and was a customer of the company I work with now. I am by far the top sales person because I know how they work and can speak to actual use cases. I can also do training because I know how other related products work/integrate/interfere with ours.

So… you learned about your product from your previous job… nothing to do with college or your education… okay…

Sounds like it has been written by a man. Also, a crude uneducated man who probably slept with a prostitute the day before he got married.

Such bs. Don’t listen OP.
I was the same as your daughter. Married at 33, three kids at 36, 38 + an oops at 43!

They were road warriors, who did not buy a house, both made their parents home their home base. Every weekend, they flew home. They had a lot of hotel and airline points and they were taking a lot of wonderful vacations around the world with their parents.

They eventually married high earning men and they had saving of around a million $ each from around 10 years of working. They had their dream wedding, bought their dream home and popped out their kids. Now they are rich SAHMs in a high HHI household and pick projects to keep a foot in the industry.

Really weird. Guessing they come from immigrant families, because white Americans do not marry people who live with their mommy & daddy.

Quite the opposite. Women marry & then are expected to clean up after their husbands.
