It was a thing. I was a 20-something making 250k in the 80s as a salesman. |

That has to be a good feeling, OP.
I live a similar life to your daughter, but with kids. I'm 32yo, married, 2 kids, own a business making mid 6 figures. DH and I both work remotely so we travel and explore a ton as a family while the kids are little. I'm really hoping to set a good work/life balance for my kids and I cannot wait to see what they do when they grow up! |
That’s… not really similar at all. |
It's a "one-up"... |
Correct, it’s better. |
Do you live under a rock? |
| she should get married soon or risk the barren child age od 30s |
Corporate law, consulting, sales, any number of professions offer that earning potential at a relatively young age. |
| That's amazing OP. There is no better feeling than our kids launching successfully into the world. |
| #blessed |
Not everyone wants to have children or get married. |
But all if thosecrequire an extra degree, no? Hence, more tuition (and miscellaneous) college costs. So who is paying for that? |
??? Question was about loneliness, not marriage. The surgeon general is currently raising the alarm on a loneliness epidemic among young people. When talking about how someone in their late 20s is doing, it's a reasonable enough question to ask. |
No def. not for sales & consulting, and many employers may for MBAs. Some people get full rides to law school. Also, it’s possible to pay off law school debt by 29 if you finish at 24/25. |
Mom & Dad It’s ironic that OP writes “no debt” as if that’s an accomplishment on her DD’s part |
