It was a thing. I was a 20-something making 250k in the 80s as a salesman.

That has to be a good feeling, OP.

I live a similar life to your daughter, but with kids. I'm 32yo, married, 2 kids, own a business making mid 6 figures. DH and I both work remotely so we travel and explore a ton as a family while the kids are little. I'm really hoping to set a good work/life balance for my kids and I cannot wait to see what they do when they grow up!

That’s… not really similar at all.

Not everyone wants to have children or get married.

But all if thosecrequire an extra degree, no?
Hence, more tuition (and miscellaneous) college costs.

So who is paying for that?

??? Question was about loneliness, not marriage. The surgeon general is currently raising the alarm on a loneliness epidemic among young people. When talking about how someone in their late 20s is doing, it's a reasonable enough question to ask.

No def. not for sales & consulting, and many employers may for MBAs. Some people get full rides to law school.

Also, it’s possible to pay off law school debt by 29 if you finish at 24/25.

Mom & Dad

It’s ironic that OP writes “no debt” as if that’s an accomplishment on her DD’s part
