Guess you’ve never heard of assortative mating, the new normal.

Men making $200k aren’t marrying preschool teachers, nurses or secretaries; and women making $200k aren’t marrying plumbers, garbagemen or some guy who works in an oil field. Rather, the $200k women & the $200k men are marrying each other.

I’d still choose a cute woman making 0 to a homely woman making 200k. If you’re a guy and you care how much your spouse makes, it means you need to make more money.

I live a similar life to your daughter, but with kids. I'm 32yo, married, 2 kids, own a business making mid 6 figures. DH and I both work remotely so we travel and explore a ton as a family while the kids are little. I'm really hoping to set a good work/life balance for my kids and I cannot wait to see what they do when they grow up!

Similar, but really completely opposite 🤣🤣

Facts are kids are a bummer. OPs daughter is living the life. You are living the grind. You’d body is wrecked and you have a ball and chain teathered to you.

+1 this PP posted to make OP feel bad that DD is not married with kids yet. Major eye roll.

And women feel the same way you do.

Being a spinster hooked on travel, wine & brunch gets old.

Cool, but you’re an extreme outlier.

Yeah being a 45 year old first time mom is sooo much better.

I have to agree here. Glad pp is happy with her lifestyle and no shade, my life is closer to hers than OP’s daughter’s, but I’ve traveled as a single woman in my 20s and as a married woman with a family and it is…not similar.

Why is that “sad”?

It’s an objectively weird thing to include in a line of “brags”, as if that was some sort of achievement or positive. And yes, I would be sad for my kid if they ended up alone

Your sexism is showing. Many people “end up alone” because they want to be.
