Who else voted against weed legalization for rec use in MD?

Full stop no for me. I live next to a house of potheads and it’s awful.

My favorite part about this is eventually libs will have to reverse smoking bans . There’s no way they can argue they can exempt pot but not tobacco

SF already did this . They passed a housing smoking ban but exempted pot then realized they couldn’t do it so they got rid of the housing smoking ban

Oh in their own home? That’s good they got rid of it. I don’t care what anyone does in the privacy of their own home.

Another liberal voting against it. I hate the smell and how it seems to be omnipresent in the places that legalized it/. The DUI thing, and even workplace use, is a huge problem because it is nearly impossible to test for intoxication—a urine test will just show someone has used previously but isn’t even very reliable as to when they used, as the chemical is stored in your fat cells and can be released in urine periodically.

Compared to alcohol it does seem more habit forming in that people who use it seem to use it more frequently than people who drink (although there’s a wide range on that). Also I know lots of people that consume Alcohol without being intoxicated (one drink with food) but no one who consumes pot without getting at least a little stoned (except some people who use very small amounts for medicinal purposes).

The problem is they pot smoke doesn't stay in your own home if you live in a duplex or apartment. Nothing is worse than living next door to chronic weed users whose smoke comes through the windows or through the walls and is exposing you or your family to psychoactive drugs unwillingly. It is pure torture living next to ahole, selfish potheads.

Marijuana more habit forming than alcohol? Come on, you can’t be serious. Someone who smokes marijuana every day can quit cold turkey. Someone who drinks to excess every day might literally die if they quit cold turkey. There’s no comparison to the physical dependence of alcohol and marijuana.

If you vote against weed legalization, you’re voting in favor a racism. Because that’s how the current laws are applied.

Get a SFH then. That’s what multi family housing is like. Until then, cope harder.

Housing is a human necessity, smoking weed is not. Are you really this stupid?

Nope. People can choose whether or not they smoke weed. Race plays no role in whether someone chooses to drink booze, smoke weed, or shoot up heroin.

Stop intruding on everyone's right to have air not polluted with weed smoke. Thanks.

Historically race has played an enormous role in whether people got punished for smoking weed. That's just a fact.

If I had to live next door to a house of drug users but I got to pick the drug, it would be weed. No question.

Exactly. That’s one of the main reasons why DC legalized it.
