Married women with children made up 56% of abortions

At our clinic, an overwhelming number of abortions were obtained by married, 30-and-40-something women who already had a kid or a few kids. We heard the same stories over and over "My kids are teens. I cannot be pregnant again." "I can't believe I was so careless. My first pregnancy almost killed me and I can't go through that again." "My marriage is just getting back on good footing again. A new baby will destroy it all." And of course, "I don't want another kid. I'm happy with what I have."

And guess what? We even had several women seek out abortions who had previously been out front protesting with their church group and who would be back out there protesting again later that same week. You don't say anything ever. You don't make judgement. And why? Because it (was) their right to choose even if they loudly voiced against it to other women walking in.

I was there for 5 years total and to be frank, I don't even think I saw a dozen teen abortions in all those years. I never saw any under 18, that I'm certain of. Teen abortions were almost always 18-19 year olds and tied to post-rape.

Also, any woman who has had a D&C or even suffered a miscarriage will tell you that no, women aren't using incredibly painful and invasive procedures as birth control. It's just not happening.

Thank you for what you did but honestly F that women who had an abortion then protested the clinic. Maybe if more hypocrites like her were called out we wouldn’t be in this mess. Conservative women pull this sh** all the time- no welfare checks for POC but all of my white kids need it because they can’t work, no abortions for those liberal whores having sex with random men every night but I don’t want to have another kid so I can get one.

What’s going to happen now? Can these states afford all the sick and special needs babies?

I would also assume birth control failure. But, I would like to hear how the state will prepare for babies who need excessive medical treatment. I'm sure they will just keep on keeping on by leaving it to fall squarely on the families.

Yes you 10 year old girl who was raped by her uncle - consequence have actions! Don’t you understand that?!

The abortions that happen because of this are less than half a percent. These figures you pro-abortion crowd use are just basically not happening.

And the 3rd term abortions you like to point to happen in only 1% of abortions. And those are wanted pregnancies. I guess you just like to waste taxpayer money

And yet they use it for sex selection. Stop making women out to be saints. They will use abortion for whatever they want and you have no grounds to reject, no matter how vile the reason. Irony of all you calling out femicide when sex selected abortions is one of main reasons why place like china is missing an entire generation of women.

No one uses abortion for sex selection.

And China’s former one child policy is why there were so many baby girls who needed to be adopted.

Lol hahaha!! Of all the ridiculous things I have read on this board the past few days, this tops them all. Your head is so far in the sand in your denial.

"However, in China, there is now clear evidence that sex-selective abortion accounts for the overwhelming number of “missing women.” https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3168620/

Your only argument left is that American women is just superior to Chinese women and will abort for only noble reasons. Good luck with that.

Sex isn’t reliably determined till week 18 at the earliest.
96% of abortions are happening by week 16.
Gender selection just isn’t happening here.

I'm sorry to disappoint you, honey, but I will always be able to afford a trip to wherever on the planet it is legal. So will my daughter. And there isn't a single thing your lot can do about it. There is a group of us your frothing mouth will never able to touch.

You ... don't think sex can be coerced within a marriage?

WTF.

Most women I know who have had abortions did so because there were genetic issues.

I think this is ultimately going to lead to fewer middle class women giving birth.

Why try for #3 if you already have two healthy kids and you can't get an abortion if the health care costs will bankrupt you?

Don't be silly, CVS can tell you at week 10.

Dear people with common sense and a brain,
You don’t have to get into the weeds arguing about rape or birth defects. Or whatever nonsense “Forced Birtha” wants to try to lure you away with.
Facts, science, math, and data supports choice.
The choice isn’t predicated on the mother’s reputation.
The choice isn’t dependent upon how the women became pregnant.
Those are distractions.
The aspects of abortion the average American is uncomfortable with, aren’t happening. The American people have allowed a civil right to be clawed back over imaginary scenarios.
Set the record straight.
Don’t let the Forced Birthas continue their campaign of misinformation.

Where the f**k did that come from? And why do you think you should be the one to decide whether another person's reasons are vile and reject their decisions? Are you the person being asked to perform the abortion?

DP. You think all these women were getting CVS before abortions? Are you serious?

"CVS testing is not a standard part of prenatal care. Your healthcare provider may offer this option if you have certain risk factors, abnormalities detected on early ultrasounds or abnormal genetic (vs blood) screening." ( https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diagnostics/4028-chorionic-villus-sampling-for-prenatal-diagnosis )

It's not covered by insurance, unless medically indicated (and sometimes not then). Nobody is paying for this out of pocket so they can abort the non-chosen gender. WTF is wrong with you.

You act like you think sex is some kind of bad thing that deserves to be punished or have it worked up in your head as something incredibly momentous that must have enormous consequences. I'll bet you're not real happy about widely available birth control either.

So you'd say that the State should be certain to protect access to abortions in the case of rape? If it never happens, then no problem, right?

If the baby dies for lack of medical care, then pro-lifers don't care all that much. God's will and all.
