For my kids yes, for me no. Lots of kids in the water, but there are only a few adults in. |
| We’re in Napa (Carneros to be precise) enjoying lovely weather, wine and outdoor activities but mostly just taking it easy. |

We went to Mexico. Flew into Cancun on SW from BWI. Stayed in Tulum and then drove further South for the week. All went well...except the family we met had their JetBlue flights cancelled last min and had to pay for expensive first/biz class tickets home to the west coast.
Covid protocols were fine used Emed and SW was organized at the ticket counter and stamped docs to approve the docs. No lines at security that were an issue. No lines at customs. Masking in country was minimal since we were outdoors for most everything. |

Drove to St. Louis from my Midwest city, myself and two kids 8 and 6. Saw:
St. Louis Science Center St. Louis Zoo and did a behind the scenes tour of their unique insect building Arch and one kid did the ranger program in the museum at the bottom City Museum Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate factory tour Tried toasted ravioli, St. Louis style pizza and gooey butter cake Air BnBs were very affordable in good locations. 6 year old cried at the end that we had to leave and said that he wanted to move to St. Louis. Overall a success. |
| We went to Barcelona and it was delightful. A minor hiccup when my FIL messed up his proctored Covid test and we had to scramble to schedule a test at the airport for him for the next morning. Otherwise, no problems at all. |
| Tanque Verde dude ranch outside or Tucson. Super fun and relaxing in that they had a great kids program so adults could do their own thing much of the day. Service wasn’t great but many meals were buffets and the food was actually really good overall (and we are foodies). Beautiful weather, great horses and activities, kids loved the pool and made tons of friends. |
That sounds really cool. |
Just have one, he's 14. He LOVED it. His friends were so jealous. Colombia is really cheap too, a dollar (changed to Colombian pesos, of course), goes a long way. |
We're farther south in Hilton head and the kids and my husband have been having a blast swimming, but like the PP, a bit too cold for me. |
We were there too! Bummed we missed seeing the iguana on the slide! |
| We are near Asheville. Loved not having to fly. We have a great Airbnb. Going to do a day trip to Knoxville tomorrow. |

Like the rest of DCUM we were also in Sedona/Grand Canyon over spring break. It was blissful! Weather was perfect, we did a Pink Jeep tour, tons of hiking, ate great food at Elote Cafe, Mariposa, and enjoyed the incredible scenery.
Like another poster had mentioned, our only complaint was our rental car experience. The rental car area at PHX is super far from the airport and there were a lot of people waiting to be shuttled over. It was a hassle, but once we got our rental car, the rest of the trip and our flights were smooth sailing. For the Tanque Verde poster, how old are your kids? What activities did they enjoy the most? I’d love to add Taos/Santa Fe to our next Southwest US itinerary and a dude ranch sounds fun. |
I’m a previous poster here now. We are at Wyndham Grand Rio Mar and it’s great. If you want to eat food on site, it’s surprisingly good (even my picky eater has enjoyed all her meals). Beautiful pools and beach so you can do both, decent cocktails at the pool bars. There’s a shuttle that picks you up and takes you to a nearby restaurant off site (Richie’s) and it’s very close to El Yunque rainforest and Luquillo where we going today on a tour. Yesterday we got an Uber to old San Juan, took maybe 35-40 minutes to get there and the guy lives right here in the area so he have us his number and we texted him later and he drove us back off-Uber since he lives here anyway and we just gave him the cash. He’s taking us to the airport Friday now lol. Seriously can’t recommend it enough, it’s been a perfect mix of relaxing and having activities to do. Staff is great. We didn’t do the all inclusive route because we knew we wouldn’t drink enough to justify it and would be off site for some meals but it’s an option if you want it |
| Took a cruise out of San Juan to the ABC islands. Cruise itself was great, 40% capacity so it felt empty. Islands were amazing. Getting there was horrific, flights delayed and ultimately cancelled and almost didn’t make it. Was trying to fly in the day before and ultimately spent the night at the Tampa airport. Worst travel day I’ve ever experienced. |
| Richie's was awesome! Loved the view. Great service. |
