Republicans/“conservatives” who do you support: our American President or Putin?

Which are you going to pick?

Edge-lording has consequences. This is no longer a joke.

This is such a dumb thread, OP.
We can hold two thoughts at one time. We can believe that Putin is evil and doing horrific things that he should be severely punished for (like an eternity in hell).
We can also believe that Biden has shown himself to be weak and ineffective when it comes to Russian aggression.

I pray daily that our leaders will make decisions that are best for the world. I don't think the US has done what it needs to do to punish Russia and save lives.

Get this straight.... because we criticize our current president does not make us loyal to another country.

I recall Trumpsters and Trump saying that if people don't support him, then they are enemies of America.

Which 1/6 Insurrection backing GOP has criticized Putin "bigly"?

It seems to be really hard for Republicans to say this simple phrase: "I support President Biden over Putin."

Why?

Because the GOP supports Putin over Biden.

Here is my take.....

I support the US over Russia. I just wish we had leaders with a backbone right now.

What would someone with a backbone do differently?

Several posters here and on the Ukraine thread have outlined things that should be done.
Read them.

I see suggestions for illegal acts and war crimes. Anything else I missed?

They support Putin because the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
The GQP will support anything and anyone that is against Biden and the Democrats.

Call Putin “genius” and “brilliant”.

What you don't get, OP... is that the majority of voters do not approve of the way Biden has handled this crisis.

As Ukraine seeks to repel a Russian invasion, fewer than a third of voters have a favorable view of President Joe Biden’s handling of the situation.

A new national telephone and online survey by Rasmussen Reports finds that just 31% of Likely U.S voters give Biden an excellent or good rating for the way he has handled the Russian aggression toward Ukraine. Forty-nine percent (49%) give him a poor rating for his handling of the Russia-Ukraine situation.

Being critical of Biden does not mean we support Putin. And, there are likely Democrats included in that poor rating.
This is just a stupid thread.

Most of them amount to going to war with Russia

That's hilarious given the the majority don't support the US having a large role in the conflict

8:38:

1. He should have implemented sanctions long before he did as a deterrent. Russia was building up the troops since last March. It is ridiculous that for weeks, they were threatening sanctions, calling them deterrents, and then Biden saying yesterday that "No one expected the sanctions to prevent anything from happening." WTH?
2. Ban Russia from SWIFT. It is up to Biden to convince NATO that this is one of the few sanctions that would hit Putin hard.
But, he won't. Because that would impact Europe AND the US since we import oil from Russia.
3. Ramp up production of oil in the US. Again, he won't do this.... John Kerry might be mad.

In a nutshell - TAKE AWAY PUTIN'S FUNDING. That means oil.

And, make him a pariah. No more Russians on the space station. Ban Russians from traveling to the US or NATO countries. Seize the assets of all the oligarchs.... yachts and such... located in the US.
He has violated international law and HE has committed war crimes. Have you heard he bombed kindergartens and orphanages?

Enough pussy footing around with "incredible sanctions" that have turned out not to be so incredible.

Just yesterday, Biden was unable to provide an answer as to why he has not gone tougher. And, he will check back in a month. What a bunch of BS.
And, he also proceeded to say that "No one expected the sanctions to prevent anything." WTH? Does he not understand the term "deterrent" that his own administration has been throwing around for weeks?

So, you can see why American voters are looking at Biden and thinking he is not the man for this job.

Not a single one of them can form a declarative sentence in this regard.
