Republicans/“conservatives” who do you support: our American President or Putin?

OP here: this is the exactly p#ssyfooting I’m referring to. Our President or Putin? You only get one.

Our POTUS.

I wish he'd push harder for sanctions, but he is in a tough position. Putin is definitely out to get the US, and Biden doesn't want to go there. Nukes, y'all.

You may be fighting that war whether or not you want to if you’re not willing to stand up to Putin asap. This guy wants Europe and if he attempts that, the US will get dragged in.

If Putin puts a toe over the Polish border, we're doomed. Let's pray he doesn't.

How much more do you want? They're kicking them off swift. They're going after Putin and his cronies' assets. It's going to be a bloodbath tomorrow for the Russian ruble and their economy. They're also restricting Russian planes from airspace. Japan, Taiwan, and others are restricting the sale of key industrial technology. The world is united here against Russia, with the exception of Belarus and North Korea. Oh, and Biden did this by NOT going it alone. Europe and NATO are united in implementing these sanctions.

Bullshit. Not wanting to get involved in another country's war does NOT mean you support a dictator. See: Afghanistan. Get real and stop lecturing others.

You are an absolutely fool if you think this will not come to our doorstep.

It's already at our doorstep.

Putin has put his nuclear arsenal on alert.

Pay attention.

Yes I think at that point republicans openly declare they are working for Putin. Texas will formally invite Russian troops to occupy Texas.

Elect Republicans and I can guarantee you that your (or someone’s kids are going to war). A losing war. Like the one your dumbass president bush started. And he was one of the less horrible modern day republicans, it turns out.

Oh, please - spare us all. Democrats are now the war mongers, who liken themselves to the World Police. Republicans prefer to stay out of wars unless they directly affect OUR country. How about you go on over to Ukraine and lend a hand at the front lines? Idiot.

Republicans, when faced with an argument they can't win, are always reduced to name calling.

Sad.

That would be worse for Europe than the alternative if it happened for any prolonged length of time. Sanctions are supposed to hurt the aggressor, not the potential victims.

There's the answer. The GOP is against America

Any GOP who supports the murderous Putin is a traitor. Jail them.

They hate America. In the words of the younger Bush, are they with us or against us?

Going back to OP.

It’s been 16 pages and only one Republican has said they fully support our commander in chief.

How American of them!

Riiighhhhtt. Cuz the PP speaks for the entire GOP.

The OPs posed question is childish. Of course Putin is wrong and should be punished. We all support Biden in doing do. This does not prevent us from criticizing how Biden is handling the situation and how he and NATO currently look ineffective and weak. Time will tell how this all unfolds. By the way this also doesn’t mean that we don’t also blame Trump, Obama, and Bush for allowing Putin to grow more bold and powerful over the last two decades. We ourselves are also to blame for buying cheap goods from China for a long time simply because they are cheap due to their poor labor laws. We’ve made all this possible through are own greed, laziness, and lack of global morals. We create entitlement and artificial wage floors here, which drives manufacturing to China thereby causing a supply chain dependency on them, while simultaneously looking the other way as they run sweat shops. The bill is coming due. It always does sooner or later.

Now - all of you need to make a decision. Either get on board with western democracy, capital markets, and freedom and relentlessly demand it from our trading partners and stop all trade with countries that do not exhibit those same principals, or get out of here and go live in China, Russia, Iran, Venezuela or one of the other dictator/government oligarchy type countries please.

Thank you for this rational post, whatever party you belong to. This is all true.

How do we look weak? The entire western world has rallied around NATO, the US, Biden and our Allies. We have provided a nearly unlimited stream
Of resources to fight Russia via Ukraine.

Russia is on its heels, Putin is grasping for air, his economy will collapse, his people will riot and he could be over before he knows it.

Because, silly, it didn't immediately solve the world's problems and end the invasion. Anything that wasn't done by Trump or couldn't be solved as it is a 30-minute tv episode is "weak" to these simpletons. The world is united in condemnation of Russia. Finland just voted to potentially join NATO. Germany just authorized 100 billion in military expenditures. The sanctions hit the oligarchs, the ruble, and Russia's economy really, really hard. It's going to be devastating starting tomorrow. We're going to bleed them dry as they are isolated on the world stage - alone and humiliated.

Edge-lording has consequences. This is no longer a joke.

This is such a dumb thread, OP.
We can hold two thoughts at one time. We can believe that Putin is evil and doing horrific things that he should be severely punished for (like an eternity in hell).
We can also believe that Biden has shown himself to be weak and ineffective when it comes to Russian aggression.

I pray daily that our leaders will make decisions that are best for the world. I don't think the US has done what it needs to do to punish Russia and save lives.

Get this straight.... because we criticize our current president does not make us loyal to another country.

It does when you keep repeating baseless accusations. What should Biden do, specifically? Send US troops?

Ok troll. No it doesn’t. Your initial question is baseless. But since you stomped your feet and held your breath like a child, we’ll placate you since that’s what we here in the US do of late, placate entitled little brats.

1) Starting today Russia should be cut off financially and economically. Period. It’s time to find out who in NATO (including a Germany) really puts their money where their mouth is.
2) NATO forces should be deployed immediately to Ukraine if their leader agrees to join NATO. If not, then not.
3) Assuming #2 happens, an offensive on Russian military facilities in western Russia should begin. Putin’s force are now stretched so his backside is open.
4) Massive cyber attacks against Russian systems should begin. Ransomware their entire national system, with the price being Putin’s head.
5) Putin should be targeted for assassination.

Post war we should immediately send in nato forces to dismantle all nuclear weapons from Russia. If you invade other countries you lose your right to have these weapons. Until they install an acceptable form of western government they do not get to have them again. This is called hard ball and it is the only way with bullies. We’ve been too soft for too long. This will also set and example for China and other dictators and despots around the globe. Too much power in too few hands while ignoring and abusing your citizens will no longer be accepted. Unprovoked invasions will no longer be accepted. Harboring terrorists will no longer be accepted. You’ll be cutoff from trade and left to wither and die and if you invade another nation you’ll be swiftly and firmly rebuked.

Really? How, exactly, would you accomplish all this? China has nukes, as does N. Korea, for starters.

Foreign policy is complex. Before criticizing Biden, it's wise to understand what he's facing. And it's not a simple situation. You're proposing NATO countries INVADE Russia to remove their nukes? China is watching, don't forget.
