DW put on 20 lbs since we first met. She is hotter now than ever. Love curves and the weight seems to have gone to just the right places.

Of course I have all the caveats for illness, disease, injury, childbirth, etc.

But not even thinking about weight or physical appearance, I couldn't be attracted to someone who doesn't keep themselves healthy, which absolutely includes regular exercise.

Uhmm...you can regularly exercise and be healthy and still not be slim.

I run 20-25 miles a week, play basketball and soccer with my kids, have normal cholesterol and blood pressure, and have no joint issues, and I am 5'8" and 190 lbs at 45 years old. I think I look fine, but I certainly don't meet DCUM standards, and I am not one of the hot moms.

And how much did weight did you gain?

Guy here. My wife loves working out and eating healthy. She doesn’t do it for me, it’s just always been her thing. I think she’s crazy hot (even at 49) and wouldn’t trade her for the world. Obviously, she’s more than just a great body but that’s one of the things nags about her that I’m definitely attracted to.

I’m not sure how the word “nags” got in there but it was an accident.

I could never be attracted to someone who lacks reading comprehension.

I will be 49 in April and I hope my partner feels the same way. It blows my mind that some people have just given up on their well-being and bodies at this age.

PP here. For me, I feel like I’ve had to double down and try harder to stay fit and healthy as I’ve aged.

I’m sorry. I just get tired of the narrative that weight and health are tightly correlated.

+1. Many people exercise daily and are within the normal BMI range, and they are not slim. I run/lift weights 4x a week. I’m at the top of my BMI range and look chubby. Weight has so more to do with food. I can’t stay on a diet, so I’ll never lose weight. Luckily my spouse doesn’t care. I feel bad for people who feel like their partner would lose interest if they gained weight.

You can be normal BMI and not be healthy. You can't be fat and be healthy, that's just a giant bowl of cope that fatties eat along with their donuts.
