Left is just gaslighting the right

Anonymous
The left says.... "words have consequences" and "we are taking Trump at his word" and "his words are hateful" so we are scared so we are "protesting" (rioting). Then they conclude that Trump should say or do something to bring the country together....

They are gaslighting.
I've watched and listened closely to the left and I've concluded that no matter want anyone on the right says of does it will never satisfy the left. I do not find that they are honestly looking for outreach from the right.

I think those on the right, including Trump, should call it for what it is and refuse to chase them down that rabbit hole.

NOTE: I noticed that Trumps speech on election night was very solemn and low key. He didn't brag or make any inflammatory comments. I noticed that Hillary's speech used code words and culminated in a rally cry for women and girls to stand against misogyny. These are two very different approaches and the second was not conciliatory.

You're a nutball. And gas lighting is your side's specialty. Go back to your safe space on Breitbart.

Oh, OP, your chickens are home to roost. Gaslighting is what you guys do best, so we've learned from you. Prepare to get a taste of your own medicine.

After a whole year of divisive, hate filled speeches who knew the Repubs are really sensitive souls at heart?

You know growing uo I used to wonder how large numbers of people could have been duped by the likes of Hitler , Stalin etc.

I just couldn't understand it. I get it now.

It is not gas lighting when you quote someone's words, verbatim. Sorry charlie.

What OP is saying is that the Clinton supporters are saying 'its your fault we are angry... you need to do/say something to make us not angry' then when you do/say something they say 'you didn't do it right, so I'm still angry.'

Its not any different than when your are in an abusive relationship and the abuser keeps saying I will stop if you only did/said the right thing (i.e., its your fault I'm abusing you). In this example the right wing folks are being abused by the left wing folks. Anyone who says they don't see the analogy are being, at best, purposefully obtuse.

I understand what OP is saying.

Probably because it's exactly what the right has been doing for years. Now you think you recognize similar tactics in the left and then all of a sudden, oh no, you've found your moral outrage!

It is gaslighting when you say "I want an apology" and you get it (acceptance speech + visiting White house graciously) and then you say "nope... that isn't enough! you should have done something else or something different." Its gaslighting because you know that no matter what you will never get over it.

Gaslighting: manipulate (someone) by psychological means into questioning their own sanity

The right says "I want secure boarders and for everyone to obey the law"
The left says "you are racist! You are a xenophobe!" ( riot, burn stuff, smash other peoples private property) "if you (the right) showed me some understanding and feel my pain I will stop burning stuff and stop hating you!"
The right thinks Am I crazy? I'm not a racist?
The right says "Lets work this out.... you know we can keep the good stuff in Obama care... Maybe we not need to build a wall..."
The left says "I can't be your friend on facebook and I can never talk to you again"
The right thinks Am I crazy? I thought they said hey wanted me to be aware of their pain and understand them.

I think the OP understands gaslighting
