Left is just gaslighting the right

They are gaslighting.
I've watched and listened closely to the left and I've concluded that no matter want anyone on the right says of does it will never satisfy the left. I do not find that they are honestly looking for outreach from the right.

I think those on the right, including Trump, should call it for what it is and refuse to chase them down that rabbit hole.

NOTE: I noticed that Trumps speech on election night was very solemn and low key. He didn't brag or make any inflammatory comments. I noticed that Hillary's speech used code words and culminated in a rally cry for women and girls to stand against misogyny. These are two very different approaches and the second was not conciliatory.

You're right. Remember who you're dealing with. Democrats are big babies. They look old and grown up, but their minds are no different than a baby's mind. Big government is their mommy. Mommy takes care of them.

Trump land gets more government support than the states with educated, successful voters. Trump supporters are really going to have a fit when they realize they've been bamboozled by a real estate hack from Queens.

I'm talking about the crybabies who are employed by the federal government.

Shouldn't women and girls stand against misogyny?

If Trump had lost and had said we must stand and fight against corruption in government, and we must continue to stand and fight for more jobs, I don't think anyone would be hearing a dog whistle there.

I could understand if Clinton had said she thought there would probably be riots in the streets if she lost. Like Trump did. Or if she had suggested without evidence that the election was rigged and people might not accept the result, like Trump said. But she didn't say that.

She said girls should never doubt that they are valuable and powerful and you are hearing a dog whistle?

Do you hear dog whistles in past Republican concession speeches, too, like when John McCain said, after losing to Obama, that "Americans never quit. We never surrender. We never hide from history, we make history."

What Clinton said about the transition of power was this:

"We have seen that our nation is more deeply divided than we thought. But I still believe in America and I always will. And if you do, then we must accept this result and then look to the future. Donald Trump is going to be our president. We owe him an open mind and the chance to lead.

"Our constitutional democracy enshrines the peaceful transfer of power and we don't just respect that, we cherish it. It also enshrines other things; the rule of law, the principle that we are all equal in rights and dignity, freedom of worship and expression. We respect and cherish these values too and we must defend them."

I just don't see how you can possibly hear that as a dog whistle to rise up and challenge his right to take office.

Above selections left out all the ones where she urged supporters to keep fighting.

Obama's speech had nothing similar and, thus, was the more gracious.

I don't understand how people are upset about Clinton's words calling for people to accept the election results but continue to fight misogyny not being "gracious" enough when their candidate is the least gracious person ever.

No matter what she did, it wouldn't be enough for you unless she spent 24/7 out there protesting the protests, so I guess by your own definition you are gas lighting us supposed gas lighters. This is getting confusing.

Lets just face facts, we are heading towards a civil war in America. The right has been courting the racists and xenophobic element in this country. The left doesn't want to be lead by bullies. No matter what he says now, Trump will never lead the liberals because we cannot get past what he said on the campaign trail. This thread just furthers my belief that I want nothing to do with the right. Not my president indeed.

Not led by bullies.....The Left are the bullies!

Its not any different than when your are in an abusive relationship and the abuser keeps saying I will stop if you only did/said the right thing (i.e., its your fault I'm abusing you). In this example the right wing folks are being abused by the left wing folks. Anyone who says they don't see the analogy are being, at best, purposefully obtuse.

I understand what OP is saying.

Probably because it's exactly what the right has been doing for years. Now you think you recognize similar tactics in the left and then all of a sudden, oh no, you've found your moral outrage!

Thank you for your confirmation that those from "the left" are no better.

Shes kept saying that it was me and I needed to fix this thing or that thing before she could move forward and no matter what I did it was never enough. I was living on egg shells for a long time. Looking back I can see that she never really wanted to reconcile things. She just wanted me to be the one to blow things up so she could look innocent and play the sympathy card.

I'm seeing the same dynamic between the right and the libs.

Cool story, bro.

Here is an example: If you are not on their side, the Dems will offer you no sympathy. You have no value to them.

Or maybe we know people like Mr. Divorce and know that sympathy is wasted on him.

Continue on, you darling sensitive snowflakes. Trigger warnings for cons!

You think you understand his situation better than he does, even though you don't know him? And you can't comprehend why folks find people like you insufferable?

(I'm all for mocking safe spaces and triggers warnings though. We agree on that!)
