Glad that he is gone, but what a shame for the actual Hayfield students, especially the seniors, who had tger year ruined by his cheating and selfishness, as well as the lack of ethics by the school leadership up to the superintendent.

What a terrible lesson for tge students.

Too bad HF kids are left holding the bag. I haven't heard anything otherwise, but I assume the 2-year ban on post-season play will apply for next season.

Additionally, the way Coach Aziz and Erin Crowley were handled was atricious. The kids lost people who had connections to and cared for the school in favor of an interloper and thoughts of a HIGH SCHOOL football championship. As is typical in this situation, the kids are the primary casualties in all of this.

Wonder if it will be hard to fill the jobs at Hayfield that the Overton crew had as presume they will leave too. Will people want to work at Hayfield with same Principal still there?

They are building out a quasi-sports academy. Starting with streaming school where you stream classes for 3-4 hours a day and work on your sport the other 4.

Would guess part of Overton contract hiring was Overton naming the kids/families that he can bring for free membership- so the kids from Freedom can continue training with him for free there. Leaving Hayfield was the move everyone saw coming and if FCPS fired, would have been lawsuit. This is least cost option. Now just question of if see principal moved to Gatehouse at end of school year.

This is so weird. So all of his followers are now going to pony up $28K a year (plus read the fine print that STJ reserves the right to increase tuition by a max of 5% a year if you ACT NOW and sign up fast), so could cost upwards of $35K a year from freshman to senior year - but only for the early adopters.

And these kids are going to be in a generic classroom with a proctor doing online school for 3-4 hours a day and working out the other 4?

Their press release says that they currently have 25 kids enrolled in their first year focused on a number of different sports. How many years will it be before they can attract enough kids to form a single complete football team???

Like I said... weird. But good for Hayfield I guess.

No way they can afford that. Kids are homeless right?

I want to know how many will have to sit out a year for transferring back to where they were supposed to be going.

OverFraud is a parasite. As soon as the accountability shows up he moves on to the next host. St. James is next...

Best of luck there, STJ is a mess, just go over to the soccer forum here and see.

I imagine that they're trying to run a football program out of their school academy like IMG does, but STJ has one turf field to their name and its the indoor one at their flagship location. STJ dropped the ball when they decided to invest into failed gyms rather than buy Evergreen when it was available out in Loudoun, where are they going to put fields for this football program?

As of the 2024-25 school year they apparently are.

There's a million "academy" or "prep" basketball teams that are just some kids doing distance learning and then playing together. Harder to get off the ground for football.
