Inform your fellow liberals of your views.
Some of them seem to think that he is such a master mind that he has pulled the wool over Mueller's eyes. In their view - he colluded but Mueller couldn't prove it.

The liberal take on this whole investigation is hysterical!

My take is that we need to see the full Mueller report. If it exonerates Trump, he should make it public, no?

Well, since he's said he wants it public and Barr agreed to make it public, we're all happy, right? No need to pass a resolution about it. It's like shoving yourself through an open door.

Is it public? No.

Why is McConnell fighting it?

Unless or until it is public, it just makes Trump (and Barr) look guilty of something.

A resolution is totally meaningless. The public and Congress with never see the FULL report. There is information in the report that cannot be revealed. We know how Schiff likes to leak......

Is it 100% accurate? None of us will know unless or until the Mueller report is made public, but it makes enough sense to leave doubt over Barr's very partisan objectives. The fact that Barr and McConnell are now fighting to keep the Mueller report out of public light leaves enough doubt that further exacerbates divisiveness in our country. The only way to address that is through transparency. Why won't McConnell and Barr be transparent?

We "poo-poo" it because it's Seth Abramson - a huge conspiracy theorist. He attempts to connect dots where none exist.
I can't believe after all that has come out that people still read what he writes.

So you fully support the transparency required to know if his conspiracy read of Barr's letter is accurate or not?

I fully support the release of Mueller's report as allowed by law. Some things cannot be released.
Who doesn't support this?

McConnell.

Provide a quote from McConnell that he does not support the release of the report as allowed by law.

McConnell, noting that it took nearly two years for Mueller to conduct his investigation, said: "It's not unreasonable to give the special counsel and the Justice Department just a little time to complete their review in a professional and responsible manner."

The legislation does not set a deadline for the release of the report, and merely expresses Congress' desire that it should be made publicly available.

Remember Don Jr's leaked emails? He knowingly took meetings with Russian agents to discuss "dirt" on Hillary. He was acting as a surrogate of the campaign. The question that Mueller answers: was Donald Trump the candidate pursuing the collusion? No, he was not. The evidence shows that we was sufficiently insulated from Russian activities. As Cohen stated in testimony, he also kept himself arms' length from the Russians with regards to Trump Tower.

This is a classic mob tactic: protect the Don and give him plausible deniability. DJT is "not guilty" by technicalities. What's absurd is the degree to which election law and federal laws allow this type of behavior.

Trump still has a ton of other criminal issues to worry about: fraudulent charity activities, misuse of campaign funds, illegal immigrants work on Trump properties, emoluments, etc. Oh, and also obstruction of justice related to the Russia investigation.

No way in hell should Republicans keep celebrating a mob boss who was protected by his underlings.

This is it in a nutshell.

Those on this thread supporting POTUS are just trying to divert attention as usual.

McConnell cited national security concerns for his decision to block the resolution, and he argued that Attorney General Bill Barr should have time to decide what's made public. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, who put forth the resolution, said that it does not specify a time frame.

It's actually humorous to watch liberals here pick apart Barr's letter and begin to discredit Mueller's investigation.

This, after two years of hearing from them......."You will believe Mueller's report, won't you?"

LOL.

Still not seeing how McConnell has stated he doesn't want the report to be made public.

There had to be an investigation. The fact that it didn’t find any collusion proves it was the opposite of a witch hunt. It proves they followed the facts.

And the fact that there were 34 criminal indictments and evidence that Russia did tamper with our election makes it anything but a witch hunt. Stupid how the one and only thing they care about is protecting Trump but don't care one whit about protecting America and turn a blind eye to all of the other crimes that were uncovered.

This needs to be repeated over and over and over again.

It has been. On this site. Over and over and over and over.
Remember that of those 34 people indicted, only 6 of them were associated with Trump. And the crimes for which they were convicted or pleaded guilty were mostly crimes committed years ago or process crimes such as lying to investigators - a crime that would not have happened without the investigations.

The vast majority of the indictments were for Russians who will never see the inside of an American prison. And, it did not take a special counsel to identify these people.

If even one of them was associated with the POTUS, that is one too many! What is wrong with you idiots? He surrounds himself with criminals, because he is a criminal. This is not what we want from a POTUS, but you all just keep making excuses for this mob-boss, horrible excuse for a human being.

What on earth have you gained from this Presidency that makes you turn a blind eye in this way?

What you call "pick apart," rational and educated people call critical reading and reasoning.

Mueller was empowered to probe the campaign's "links" to Russia as well as any "coordination"—which is why his counterintelligence findings are so key. If all we do is apply criminal standards to investigative findings, we are missing the point.
