omg and can you imagine the conniptions over a former nude "model" who got here on a fraudulent visa, if she were a democrat? jesus, it would really be something. i guess at least her arms aren't bare. |
| They’d be all “real Americans put their arms in the sleeves” and refer to her as “European” every mention. |
It seems like Donald is gripping Melanie’s hand and the railing very very hard here. Don’t they usually go down staircases by themselves? Soooo fishy... |
He has terrible eyesight, as most elderly do. But he's too vain to admit it and won't wear glasses. Instead, notes are written in Sharpe in large enough letter to be seen from the International Space Station, and he needs someone to help him go down stairs because anything further than 18 inches away is an unidentifiable blur. |
This is also off the normal descent stairs from the plane and not the short, back of the plane steps he took last time, with doctor in tow. Mel often rejects his hand holding advances, but may be humoring him here as he does look to be gripping both the rail and her hand for dear life. |

Well, I hate everything about this administration, but I kinda love the coat-cape look. I basically want to dress like a fantasy/sci-fi character every day of the week. The coat over shoulders definitely reads like old school Star Trek new world fashion to me...so I love it! I'm also pretty impressed by how she manages to keep it balanced on her shoulders while she walks. It's like the only example of balance that this administration is capable of.
PS After accidentally reading an old Guardian article about election night, and seeing the anecdote that Karen Pence refused to kiss her husband after learning that they won and just saying something like "Well, you got what you wanted."....I now feel like we should lay off KP's fashion choices. She is so clearly not here by choice. |
Melania isn't here by choice either and is probably the most reluctant flotus in history (wouldn't even move in or staff her office for what, 6 months?). Pence's wife needs to either play along or be fully hidden. |
| They’re both here by choice you guys. |
| Daily Mail reports (maybe others, it may be well known) that he’s afraid of heights? Or maybe stairs? He oddly gripped Theresa May’s hand as they walked at a couple foreign events. |
Insightful article, even after following this thread from day one, and 2500 comments in no time. RG points out this was Melania’s traveling outfit, so this video was slapped together during the two minutes Mel set aside to scan the work. Her she is with arms in coat earlier:

Yes and FLOTUS is an active birther. Do not feel sorry for either of these women. |

Analysis of Melania’s White House Christmas look.
https://www.nytimes.com/2019/12/02/style/melania-trump-white-house-christmas-decorations.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share https://www.washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/2019/12/02/melania-trumps-christmas-decorations-are-lovely-that-coat-looks-ridiculous/ “The coat looks ridiculous. But more than a silly fashion folly, the coat is a distraction. It’s a discomforting affectation taken to a ludicrous extreme. In a video that is intended to celebrate the warmth and welcoming spirit of the holiday season, that simple flourish exudes cold, dismissive aloofness.“ Welcome to this thread, Robin! |
^ But I agree that a good cape is always the right answer, and that Melanie's outfits often do evoke that sort of Star Trek retro/mod look that I, too, like. Less so the pith helmet, Hitler Youth cosplay, Really Don't Care jacket, etc. |
The Birther Queen who is currently living the high life on our taxpayer dollars does not get any kind of free pass, nor will I accept whitewashing - get it? - what she's said and done. #BeBest Melanie, and take responsibility for your statements (plagiarized and otherwise) and who you are. |
There is no knife, she's holding the side of the pan the turkey is in |
