Agreed. It's always so tragic when a promising young white male raised evangelical Christian falls so far down the racist alt right pipeline that he moves to an entirely different country just for the sheer opportunity to have a chance of committing war crimes like murdering somebody with a darker skin color than him.

Once they fall into that racist, cult-like mentality of Zionism, it's very hard to bring them back; sadly, some may even encounter the very repercussions of that violent racist ideology. It's just so tragic.

I know. Going to Israel to help kill brown kids and support gcide is such a praiseworthy action. He is a true hero in the Zionists eyes. Hope he was able to quench his bloodlust over there.

The bloodlust is on your side, as evidenced by Elias Rodriguez. Your deflections aren’t working. No one is buying it.

Which genocidal tweet of the Yaron is your favorite? Mine is the one where he says that Gaza has to be ethnically cleansed.

So we're at "people who say awful things on social media deserve to get killed" now?

Their lives were every bit as valuable, and no more than, the Palestinians who he wanted dead. War doesn't solve problems. It creates them.

What makes you think I am in favor of killing Palestinians? (I'm not the PP who wrote "the bloodlust is on your side.") I don't think living in Gaza means you deserve to be killed by airstrikes, nor do I think saying you want Gaza to be ethnically cleansed means you deserve to be shot dead in the street. Feels like we should probably all be able to agree on those points?

Well, he didn't agree with you.

He flew with the gun which isn’t easy actually.

He didn’t buy the gun for this - he’s had it for years and flying with it isn’t hard.

I hate what this man did and I think it’s clearly premeditated but people fly with guns frequently. You have to follow some regulations and check your baggage, obviously.

He’s going to spend the rest of his life in prison for absolutely no reason. What a moron. I’m chuckling at how absolutely moronic this guy is. There were like 1000 ways he could’ve helped Palestinians and still been able to have a life. I wonder when it will hit him that he’s absolutely trashed his life and it didn’t change a single thing.

Hard agree with all of this except I expect this to be a federal death penalty case.

NP. You would think we could all agree, but as this thread and all the horrible violence happening all around the world shows, unfortunately, there are a lot of either evil or crazy people who think killing other people is justified. It's all wrong. What Hamas did on Oct 7 is wrong. What Israel has done in razing Gaza and killing and maiming and starving so many there is wrong. Attacks we see on random people for being Jewish are wrong. Attacks on random people because they are Palestinian or believed to be Palestinian are wrong. Killing other people is wrong.

So is trying to harm and demonize people who protest peacefully about any the above. Our own government is doing that and it's disgusting, doubly so because I don't think they give two hoots about anyone. They are taking advantage to pursue their agendas and demonizing student protestors. So much hatred and violence and it is all wrong.

But you've got a lot of nutters on here and elsewhere.

Neither is the GOP. They want to literally blow up all Palestinians with nuclear weapons. "Like Hiroshima and Nagasaki."

Another irony is the event that the couple was attending at the Jewish Museum was an inter-faith event (fittingly, he was Christian and she was Jewish) aimed at trying to help innocent Palestinians suffering in Gaza, discussing efforts such as how to bring in food and emergency supplies, etc.

So this leftist, progressive, democrat psychopath murdered two Israeli embassy staffers who wanted to HELP Palestinians, literally at an event about helping people in Gaza.

I hope it won't be, for a variety of reasons: I oppose the death penalty in general; Jewish ethics generally oppose the death penalty, as well, which seems relevant to me as a Jew for a case where death would be the penalty specifically for a hate crime against Jews; and capital punishment is banned in the District, where the crime took place. I know federal law can supersede that, but I don't like the precedent there, either.

Why isn't every mass shooting a federal death penalty case?
Anonymous
The timing of this seems a bit fishy with the recent potential sanctions on Israel coming from the UK, France, and Canada as well as the shooting of the 25 diplomats. The arrest video also seems a bit funny with the perpetrator looking towards the camera and saying "Free Palestine" and someone conveniently giving him a keffiyeh upon being arrested.

I wouldn't find it hard to believe that this is a false flag attack given Israel has no qualms about harming its own citizens or their allies for the greater good. It's been so many times and here are a few
- USS liberty - kill American navy, blame Arabs
- Hannibal Doctrine - Kill Israeli hostages, blame Hamas
- Lavon Affair - Kill British and American civilians, blame Arabs
- King David Hotel Bombing - Kill British, blame Arabs
- London Embassy - Kill Israelis, blame Arabs
- Sydney Synagogue bombings - Kill Israelis, cry antisemitism
- Tel Aviv bus bombing - Kill Israelis, blame Hamas
- Beruit bombing - withold information to let Americans get killed
etc, etc.

Not every mass shooting is a federal crime in the first place.

I didn’t say I wanted it to be a federal death penalty case but that I expect it to be. This administration is bloodthirsty AF in case you haven’t noticed.
