Man and Woman Shot and Killed Outside Capital Jewish Museum

So now everyone who’s anti Hamas is a labeled a Zionist and Hamas gets to define Zionist?

Lame.

Jewish friends fear anti Israel discussion because they think it will spark violence against them. Just know there is a deep defensiveness they have that is tied to their concern for personal safety. Whether you agree or not, you can understand that much. This is why much of their discussion (and dissent, where it exists) is private. Religious holidays are often tied to historic pogroms and reinforce Jewish self preservation and resilience. Ultimately I don’t think the Jewish community will condemn other Jewish people (extremist Israelis or otherwise) en masse, no matter what. All this being said, the shooter of this random Jewish couple was categorically wrong and we cannot be ok with it or ‘understand it’ on any level. You don’t get to shoot random people when you’re mad or depressed. That cannot be the society that we live in.

Guess all us Hispanics, blacks, secular Muslims, baptists, gays, Catholics, sgnostics secular Jews, Buddhists, atheists, Asians, etc and ALL “Zionists!”

Who knew!?!

We are anti-terrorist-led country like PLO so we are Zionists! Cool identity label, so glad they taught us this in K-12 and college.

I remain somewhat neutral the topic with the “both sides are kind of bad and I hope there will be peace soon” mindset. I was saddened when I heard about this murder, but I wasn’t particularly shocked. The protesting clearly hasn’t worked and people are going to start to take matters into their own hands.

No they’re not.

Jsut more misguided males with no grounding. Luigi. Elias. All the same loser trying to be special the easy dumb tragic way.
And social and mass media help them do so.

I find it hard to have sympathy for someone who's openly for the killing of children and wants to forcibly expel Gazans while serving in the Israeli terrorist forces.

Obviously, if one is not in favor of killing Palestinian children, then they become anti-Semitic of course. In fact, the prior General of Israeli forces, Yair Golan, says Israel is ‘killing babies as a hobby’ in Gaza. It's funny that's people are outraged about him condemning Israeli society and not about the killing of babies part though.

Am I the only one who is just exhausted and done with the neverending conflict? Done with all of it?

There’s no both sides here. We are in the US and no, there aren’t radical zionists out shooting beautiful young couples or burning up Shapiro in his bed.

This. Full stop

A Palestinian American boy was stabbed to death in Chicago days after Oct 7. His mother was stabbed multiple times.

In November 2023, three Palestinians, including an American citizen, were gunned down while on a walk in Vermont. One of them is paralyzed.

Last year in Texas, two Palestinian American kids were ripped from their mother and had their heads held down in their neighborhood pool in an attempted murder.

Earlier this year in Miami Beach, a Jewish man shot two men because he thought they were Palestinian. They were actually Israeli.

Zionist means you believe Israel has a right to exist and defend its borders from attacks.

The victim is a Christian Zionist that not only left this country to commit war crimes in the IDF, but in his social media he advocates and celebrates genocide, ethnic cleaning, and openly cheered the killing of children.

One can only imagine what type of evil acts he likely performed while serving three years in the military in Israel based on his disgusting comments he has openly shared.

I'm shocked they didn't scrub his socials. It's bad PR. Reading his posts, it's clear this guy is a deranged genocidal Zionist maniac who supports children dying and wiping out all Palestinians. Wouldn't be surprised if the shooter read it as well.

There's absolutely no evidence that the shooter targeted these victims specifically, as opposed to the event generally, and I would be quite surprised if the shooter read the one guy's X feed. Also, what are you talking about, "it's bad PR"? No one expected him to get shot or strategized the PR around it ahead of time.

Agreed. It's always so tragic when a promising young white male raised evangelical Christian falls so far down the racist alt right pipeline that he moves to an entirely different country just for the sheer opportunity to have a chance of committing war crimes like murdering somebody with a darker skin color than him.

Once they fall into that racist, cult-like mentality of Zionism, it's very hard to bring them back; sadly, some may even encounter the very repercussions of that violent racist ideology. It's just so tragic.

I know. Going to Israel to help kill brown kids and support gcide is such a praiseworthy action. He is a true hero in the Zionists eyes. Hope he was able to quench his bloodlust over there.

The bloodlust is on your side, as evidenced by Elias Rodriguez. Your deflections aren’t working. No one is buying it.

Which genocidal tweet of the Yaron is your favorite? Mine is the one where he says that Gaza has to be ethnically cleansed.

So we're at "people who say awful things on social media deserve to get killed" now?

He shot them at close range. That does indeed suggest that he targeted them specifically.

Their lives were every bit as valuable, and no more than, the Palestinians who he wanted dead. War doesn't solve problems. It creates them.

He shot them at close range because they walked out of the event and he was standing outside.

What makes you think I am in favor of killing Palestinians? (I'm not the PP who wrote "the bloodlust is on your side.") I don't think living in Gaza means you deserve to be killed by airstrikes, nor do I think saying you want Gaza to be ethnically cleansed means you deserve to be shot dead in the street. Feels like we should probably all be able to agree on those points?
