I guess there's a solution then - make every school an embassy. |
DP. Rather than namecall can you disprove any of this? |
Will lefties still ignore 90% of school Shootings then? |
Generally progressives don't own guns. |
This thread is an exact demonstration of the quote by Israeli Knesset member, Tzippy Scott, who bragged We can kill 100 Gazans in one night, nobody in the world cares.
Most people have no clue how many innocent people were killed in Gaza yesterday by Israeli forces or this past week but they seem to know everything about these two victims. That is the true tragedy - the dehumanization and devaluing of Palestinian life. |
Hey, posting unflattering history about Israel is antisemitic!! |
He doesn't care about the climate. He should have taken a bus. Sounds like a MAGA. /s The left needs to find a consistent ideology. |
This isn't technically considered a mass shooting by most definitions anyway; that usually involves four or more victims. |
Wait- didn’t he take a gun across a state line? Isn’t that an automatic felony conviction? |
I agree with you that it's heartbreaking and tragic that Palestinian life has been so devalued, before and during this war. However, I think part of the reason this incident is attracting so much attention is also because it's quite rare (and, in DCUM's case, it happened right here). Embassy officials from any nation are rarely attacked. Politically motivated assassinations in the U.S. are extremely unusual. Deliberate shootings targeting Jews are also unusual, though obviously they do happen. What makes news is that something is new. When there were frequent suicide bombings on buses or in public areas in Israel, they didn't usually make big headlines here, especially if they only killed one or two other people. Likewise, I certainly can't recall seeing any U.S. news coverage of Israeli soldiers dying in this or other wars. Even the non-American Israeli hostages who have died in captivity after Oct. 7 didn't get a ton of news coverage in U.S. media; people here generally aren't that interested in their lives, either. We can obviously lament all that, but I also think that even if this shooting had happened in, say, another U.S. city, people in D.C. would be paying less attention to it than we are now. |
I mean, as someone who wants to wash our hands of this entire area and their generational bloodlust, if being anti-Hamas makes me a Zionist, fine, you can call me that. I’m so tired of the Hamas apologists who are bringing political terrorism to the US that I just don’t care any more. Call me a Zionist, then, although I would be fine if we cut aid to Israel. |
What people don’t care about is your tragedy competition. Yes, it’s tragic that pro Palestinian mobs are killing Jewish Americans in cold blood on the streets of the US. Yes, it’s tragic that Gazan children are dying. Yes, it’s tragic that Gaza is run by a suicidal, genocidal regime. Yes, it’s tragic that Netanyahu has led Israel down such a destructive path. These tragedies are not mutually exclusive yet you only dismiss the antisemitism here in the US, against two young innocent Jewish people. |
?? is this happening? |
Never heard of any of this before. Where do you find this information? |
