Hey loser we are talking about HS sports.
Get a life |
The quagmire that is this dude's brainscape would be rich fodder for an NIH grant. I mean, if they still had them. |
Men for others |
Hilgardner announced yet? |
Hilgardner going to cause havoc in the IAC.
Landon and Bullis are running scared. |
leave us out of this, personally enjoying not being mentioned in here lately |
You can’t possibly think that “Men for others” is associated with only one of the two Jesuit high schools here. Although I guess it’s possible. Yeesh! |
We are talking about candidates for the Prep lacrosse coaching job. Kubik is one of names being discussed. His presence at Landon as a coach and now as a teacher is to many remarkable given the historic enmity between the two schools. |
They updated their website? What link are you trying to post? |
announcement is coming soon!
Go Prep! |
The author of this “Hilgartner to GP” scam ought to be teaching a class in Trolling. (I’m assuming this is BS because no one has confirmed it, it’s almost the start of school, and these schools historically can’t keep anything a secret.) First, the perpetrator had to select a forum where people are emotionally invested and that emotion could overcome logic. Second, the subject had to be something that a percentage of the audience is thrilled with and the rest are dreading. In spite of how improbable it is and the total lack of substantiation, they are caught up in the remote possibility it might be true. The master stroke was a link to what would be a credible source if it was true. Those who clicked on the link could find nothing and started assuming it was a bad link and not a clever head fake. When school starts without an announcement, at least some on here will experience the same feeling one of the rockfish in the Bay feels when themselves being pulled from the water and put into a net. Hats off to our troller for 1.) Coming up with this outlandish idea and 2.) Knowing the audience and how they would react. |
Terrible move by prep to fire a coach the last week in July with zero backup plan.
Back to the drawing board of hiring some 24 year old lax bro for an interim season. Paro needs to go and go fast! |
A 24-yo lax bro sounds like a winner! Young, energetic, eager to make a difference. |
"Paro needs to go and go fast!" Yeah, that's gonna happen! (Sarcasm font) First, it's highly unlikely that DP originated the idea or made that decision to fire Urick. I would guess that as far as Danny is concerned a couple of third place finishes in the IAC by the lacrosse program is not that big of a problem. Why go to the trouble of firing a guy and creating all that upset and the work required to hire a new guy? Especially with football season starting. So, the direction had to come from higher up in the organization. Second, DP has his own base of supporters some of which have been major donors to the school. Firing a lacrosse coach is one thing. Replacing an "connected" alum with very long tenure is yet another. The world of both public and private education moves at a glacial pace. Some of this is because they hate change and value collegiality within their closed community. Some of it is because they know the current set of parents, who tend to make the most noise, will be moving on in a year or two. Easier to promise, procrastinate and wait than to make decisions that create a lot of work. |
