It's been made abundantly clear that you'd vote for a corpse over Trump. My question is why the corpse over the myriad of younger, more competent Democrats. Out of the Democrats I know, absolutely no one likes Biden but they are all resigned to him. How did he win the primary if no one likes him?

An example of how the way was paved for old Joe: Trump tried to expose his blatant corruption in Ukraine, and was impeached for it.

It does feel different this time around, like Trump has turned the tables somehow, and Joe’s ring of protection is gone.

Trump won the only primary that matters, the one that you and I don't get to vote in. He won that primary by being more pro-Israeli/war than Biden and his crew. He's bean picked to give them the war they want.

Yes, Biden’s blundering actions in Israel, like that failed pier in Gaza, have lifted Trump’s standing among donors. No doubt. But it feels like there are other issues closer to home, like collapsing office real estate markets and the exploding interest payments on federal debt that the next president will have to address. Trump is hardly a budget hawk but as a New York real estate person he at least understands the issues.

You don't get it. We are concerned about Trump. It was clear to me Trump was not fit to be POTUS back in 2012 or whenever it was he came forward as a birther. And it only took me that long because I didn't know much about him before that.

But Trump has always been this way so it is hard to clearly see a decline per say. And his supporters will vote for him. And that's what we're worried about.

I do not understand the strategy of the Democrats. It is not about WHO can beat Biden. Rather it should be about how to beat Trump. The Democrats are waisting a lot of time, money and energy labeling Trump's policies as a threat to democracy and other policies related to immigration, lgbtq, women's issues etc. I am sick and tired about hearing about MAGA from them. The Democrats should understand why are Independent voters in the likes of Arizona, North Carolina, Georgia etc somehow find Trump's policies appealing. There are no provisions that outline what happens when a nominated candidate either dies prior to the November election or backs out of the race AFTER winning the state primary. Conceivably, "Joe Biden/Kamala Harris" would still be printed on Florida's ballots. Absent the Florida legislature amending its election laws and the Governor signing said law, the DNC would need to try to run a write-in campaign for a new POTUS nominee. And then you're going to get tons of issues with that - is the writing legible? How is write-in done with voting machines? Etc.

So yes, I am saying the Democratic Party would effectively have no nominee in most states.

We're stuck with Biden. Accept it and move on.

If we are stuck with Biden, then the easy choise is Trump. Thank you!

The election should be postponed until December to give the states time to put the new candidate on the ballot.

If that is what it will take to save democracy and to stop Project 2025, then so be it.

But President Biden is committed to winning. Let’s not go to extremes when it isn’t necessary to do so. Uncle Joe can easily beat Drumpf again.
