If Putin succeeds, he doesn't stop at Ukraine. There's also a huge Ukrainian-American population, vast majority of whom are recent immigrants and their 1st gen American kids. Lots of American citizens and Green Card holders in Ukraine itself.

I would expect retaliatory cyber attacks on US infrastructure - hacking, ransomware - on the energy and banking sectors.

Isn't there also a huge Russo-American population? And lots of American citizens and green card holders in Russia/

Yes....but who is massing troops and doing the invasion?

It's not Ukraine.

So far, no one is "doing the invasion".

But lots of people are making money talking about it.

Ukraine is threatening to topple Russia militarily.

What are you talking about? Russia launched a cyberattack on Ukraine's military and banking system Tuesday and started bombing civilian targets this morning (including a kindergarten) in an effort to provoke Ukrainian soldiers to shoot first. And right on cue, they've released false stories about Ukraine committing genocide against ethnic Russians in order to justify an invasion.

The Russian forces in Eastern Ukraine have intensified their attacks all day and now into the night.

Russia's national news broadcast claimed tonight that they've obtained a "plan" for Ukraine to retake those areas of Eastern Ukraine.

Interesting fact: that Russian propagandist on the picture above is 60 y.o., doesn’t look her age.

So sad
Just after getting out of one ear in Afghanistan, start another

End of the day, it doesn't matter if we have good options. In the tradition of Kennedy and Reagan, America needs to stand against Russian aggression.

Scratching my head at the logic here. He's hoping people will get riled up about Ukraine controlling its own territory?

Putin is a menace. The world is not safe with him in control of a military.

I would say much more like WW1 but point taken.

PP. You could be right. The similarities between this and how Hitler justified invading Poland are just really striking.
