| Kate certainly did not roll out the welcome red carpet either. |
|
Hey it’s Meghan, it’s International Education Day so I decided to post some pictures of ME visiting poor people. I know these are a bit stale you guys but I like have no big engagements now, not until I go on Ellen.
I probably should thank my dad for financing my excellent education, but he is like a meanie. |
They do not throw baby showers over there which is why the press were appalled by Meghan’s outrageous one. |
It would have been a nice thing to do to welcome a newlywed wife to the family who was away from all her own friends across an ocean...on top of not throwing her a engagement party or bridal shower. But whatever I guess Britain isn't into SIL friendships either. |
| Interesting that Tiggy-Leggy-whatever was named Archie’s godparent. Both Diana AND Camilla were suspicious that she and Charles had something going on LOL. |
What nonsense. The royals have all kinds of rules that everyone has to play by. Was Princess Anne throwing showers for Diana, Camilla, Fergie and Sophie? |
Funnily enough Harry doesn't seem to care. She was there for the 'boys' after Diana's death and clearly Harry at least appreciated that. He also had both of Diana's sisters at Archie's christening. |
I assume you mean baby showers? IDK Diana, Fergie and Sophie were pregnant before my time. As for Camilla...she was married to another man if I recall. |
|
Nobody "throws showers" in England you're out of your goddamn minds.
That is an AMERICAN invention and may it stay firmly this side of the pond, thank you. We don't need all that nonsense. |
Yes but you do have hen dos and bridal parties. Don't act like Kate didn't have 3 major chances to welcome Meghan (not to mention be a representative of modern British conventions) and she missed all of them. |
I refuse to hold Kate responsible for Meghan and vice-versa. These are women well into their thirties, not twenty-somethings who need to be “showered” or “welcomed”. |
She doesn’t owe you anything, looney-tunes. And how do you know what private events they may have had? |
Anything Kate does that might even be considered minimal effort is reported. It never would have gone unnoticed if she had done any of those three things. And I get that you're protective over her but take a chill pill. Meghan has taken far more flack for much less. |
Man. You are a drama queen. |
No - anything kate does publicly is reported. You have no clue what went on behind closed doors - but from MM and Harry’s engagement interview where they single out Kate as being particularly amazing, to prince Charles walking MM down the aisle to the queen giving MM unprecedentedly rapid royal responsibilities - the family appear, at least publicly to be plenty welcoming. And for those clamoring that the family should have stood up for MM when some of the nastier articles came out - I’m not sure why you were expecting that. They don’t even stand up for themselves when they get bad press. No one said a peep when they called Fergie the duchess of pork... which frankly is true bullying. |
