Agreed. Fundamental difference on the sanctity of life, not to mention the unilateral approach to such a massive decision. Society likes to preach women's independence, and the Left like to use this as a scare tactic to vote a certain way, but a husband and a wife making a decision together on a pregnancy should be common sense. Otherwise, that's not a marriage at all. If my wife did it, it would be a million times worse than a ONS with some random bloke

Um, you realize the original Bible text says a fetus is not alive till it draws first breath, right? And that conservatives changed the Bible translation in the 70s to get “useful idiot” religious people (yes, this is what the GOP elite call you in private) to vote for the billionaires’ agenda, yes?

Today it’s obvious to anyone who cares to look: anyone who ACTUALLY cares about sanctity of life would be prioritizing actual kids’ healthcare over tax cuts. But most religious people, Brett Kavanaugh being a notable example, do not. The majority of anti-abortion people in America are either hypocrites or fools and idiots getting used by billionaires.

No, I am not aware of this. I am aware that some Protestant demonstional views have shifted right in response to abortion demand being used as birth control, but I am not aware of the text of the Bible, which is used across many denominations, was revised in the 70s for political purposes. Please educate me.

NO ONE used abortion as birth control. Yet another mind control talking point fed to you by republicans who need to manipulate the dumbest base in america. Southern baptist weren't opposed to abortion until the 80s when it became politically convenient.

NO ONE? Not even the girl I dated in high school who actually did use it for that purpose- twice?

As I said, Protestant denominations shifted as the social environment shifted. You can argue whatever, but I’m agreeing the Protestant denominations shifted.

So, now tell about the US political Right changing the text of the Bible for political purposes. Changing the Bible which is basically controlled by the Catholic Church, a non-US entity. Because I honestly know nothing about the Republican Party altering the Bible and controlling the Vatican.

It is just money, OP. I wouldn’t trade my siblings (or my kid’s sinlings) for any amount of money. Giving them the lifelong relationship with a sister or brother is priceless.

"NO ONE used abortion as birth control."

What on earth, PP. Yes, plenty of women have. As disgusting as it is, many rely on it exclusively. Not just here, but all over the world.

Stop. You have zero idea if those siblings will get along. Having another sibling is zero reason to continue this.

NO, WRONG, give it up. Stop judging. It's none of your business what someone else decides to do with their body, period.

There is a reason it's called Pro Choice. This is not complicated.

You are "proud" to be pro life???

How about pro birth? Because usually that is where it ends.

Apparently you do not understand Pro Choice.

It's not your business butt out. You have zero idea what another person is going through.

So, you’re saying YOU chose abortion as birth control? That’s pretty messed up. You could have put on a condom anytime and you chose not to.

YOU are morally bankrupt. That said I’m still glad you didn’t procreate. You take zero responsibility for your actions and chose to blame your partner. Disgusting.

We should have handed out a link to this thread to all those sanctimonious anti-abortion people who flooded downtown yesterday.

What a laughable post.

Your ignorance and lack of tolerance for differing views is what’s disgusting. A girl I dated did it twice with 2 guys after we dated. Even if it was with me, what in the world would make you think that it was my choice given my prior post to which you responded?

I’m married with children, so I have procreated, which is probably a big reason, along with my faith, why I’m pro life. I wouldn’t say a person who advocates for abortion is morally bankrupt but I’d say the moral finances are running low.

And you’re just mentally bankrupt and angry.

And when a woman did not "agree to take in the dick" but was raped?

I'm betting your answer is still that she has no choice because now "it's a baby, not a choice."

Fine sentiments. Now, please tell us all about how you nobly turned those beliefs into compassionate, committed, daily actions: How many babies saved from abortion have you personally adopted and raised to adulthood? Or fostered? Your money contributions to anti-abortion lobbying groups and generic charities that make you feel good don't count. What do you do specifically to support individual children for the next 18 years after they are born? The ones whose mothers are forced to have them but who cannot or will not keep them?

We'll wait.

do you want DC1 to really walk the path of life alone? Sure there are plenty of well adjusted only children in the world, but there are many who wish as adults they had a sibling.

Eleven years apart is hard on a good day. Many siblings do not get along.

I have never had anything other than a loving relationship with my sibling that is 11 years older than me. Many siblings that are a year apart don't get along. This has nothing to do with the age difference. It's about OP being scared.

If you only wanted one and no.more, why didn't you have your tubes tied when you had your first, instead of messing around with birth control? Something isn't adding up in this story.

Another option would be to have the baby, get tubes tied, get a divorce and give dad full custody of both children and you have visitation rights. That way you are done, and he gets to have the kids he wanted.

I know so many women where doctors flat out refused to tie their tubes because they may change their minds. That may not have been an option. Although I will say that someone who hates the idea of another baby sure didn’t pay attention to birth control as much as she claims.

That's ridiculous. If a doctor refuses there are more than many that will. Why go to a doctor like that??????

we went to multiple doctors and they all refused. This was in 2008.

So why didn't your husband just get a vasectomy?

Did OP ever come back to this thread? I'm wondering what she did.

Even if you and she already had children? So you'd rip up their existing lives by divorcing?

Heck yes I would. What’s left of it but tatters anyway, after she kills his child. Good God people are selfish. It may be her right to kill the baby, but it’s also his right to be unchained from a Salomé

Hahaha! Now I know you're trolling. Thanks for the laugh, PP! You're hilarious.
