DP. If Republicans are that concerned about the homeless population, why do they strip them of their voting rights? |

It has helped in Colombia. “[Plan Colombia was a] wide-ranging U.S. cooperation with Colombia to assist that country in combating drugs, guerrilla violence, and related institutional and social problems. ” “Plan Colombia was a successful demonstration of how the U.S. could achieve security aims with a limited investment of military force.” https://www.americasquarterly.org/node/3787 |
Someone said “we have a crisis” and the quote was reported. It’s not an editorial. |
|
Why have Central American countries repeatedly squandered U.S. aid then? Why don't they follow Colombia's model? Regardless, it's not our job to continue bailing them out. |
If you are still denying there is a crisis at the border, even after multiple news sources from all sides of the political spectrum have told you there is, then I think the crisis is with your mental health. Might want to remove your tinfoil hat and blinders. |
The actual crisis is the violence and instability in Central America - partly caused the the US. If you have an issue with too many refugees coming to our border then fix the issue. A wall won’t keep them out. |
Bunch of complainers. You manufacture an issue and then complain that other people aren’t fixing it for you. Typical MAGA loser. No personal responsibility. |
Was aid given in a comprehensive manner as in Colombia? Obviously there is room for improvement. If you want fewer refugees then fix the actual issue. |
| Everything Trump does makes things worse. He has no clue what is really going on or what to do about anything. He is just a simple minded bigot with a simple minded bigot’s world view of stereotypes, conspiracy theories, and self-serving myths. |
You keep pushing this false narrative that violence and instability in CA is partly caused by the US. Sorry, after billions and billions of dollars have been sent there to help, I'm done with the idea that we're somehow "responsible" for their present-day predicament. We've more than compensated them, but they have failed to use our aid wisely. Not our problem. |
DP. What are YOU personally doing to help these people? Nothing? Didn't think so. |
|
Congress has some work to do to change the laws that make it easy for people to come here.
Heard a report tonight from border patrol agent that a man who had been deported 3 times after being arrested each time with a DUI had to be admitted because a) he was claiming asylum and b) he had a child with him this time. This is just WRONG. |
I would support a comprehensive plan to rebuild Central America. Similar to how we helped Colombia. |
