IF I watch the next season I think I'm just going to wait for all the episodes to come out and binge watch them together. Then at least I would just get it over with and I wouldn't have to wait and see what happens.

I barely watched this season. Way too much violence and hopelessness. I just read recaps after the episode comes out to keep up.

The story isn't moving along anymore and nothing is really actually happening bc they are so stuck with making everything more violent and dark.

Just move on to a resolution already and end the series instead of dragging it down - June makes it to Canada or Gilead gets toppled

Exactly this show could have been amazing if it had been a mini-series.

The writers got us all hooked with a strong middle series of episodes. The first few and last few have been hard to watch and uninteresting in terms of plot movement.

It’s working for me, but I love dystopias and world building.

No, I think that is a plausible explanation. He wants to regain control within his house so he can’t allow loose ends.

No, its about his status and reputation. He cannot afford too many scandals as Serena said, they will end up hanging from the wall themselves.

Also Nick is not concerned with what Waterford thinks. He knows that his love for June is the root of the case of Eden's death. He flat out rejected her and she sought affection elsewhere as a result. Come on people, switch on your brains.

I don’t think he rejected her purely out of love for June. I think he didn’t want to have sex with a 15 year old!

Does anyone know how long a time passes between the attack on the Capitol and June’s family try to escape?

And can you list the legal changes that happened before the attack on the Capitol? I know married women needed permission for contraception. However, June is still working and it’s unclear if women’s accounts had already been shut off as seen in S1.

In the book, it said that women weren’t allowed to have bank accounts—June had to have her husband cash her checks and such, and found it pretty humiliating. (in the book, Luke didn’t totally get why June found it so terrible, since they had shared accounts anyway, which was also frustrating to June that he didn’t really get it.)
In the book, it also said that lesbian women were teaming up with gay men who had agreed to help them out with things like bank accounts.

Apparently, there are Handmaid's Tale wines. Who thought this would be a good idea? And the wines were named using the handmaid's slave names (Offred, Ofglen) instead of the women's real names? WTF?!

To the PPs complaining about the show and that you can’t wait till it’s over.. why don’t you just stop watching it if it’s so horrible? No one is forcing you. You all sound like such drama queens, either watch it or don’t but stop complaining about how you can’t stomach it.

The rape scene was by far the worst.

I also didn’t think Nick got hit, but they carried him away. And I could totally see the commander setting the whole thing up.

Finally - why the heck didn’t Nick just shoot the other eye and take Hannah and head north? They had a 3 hour window before they were do home. That could’ve gotten them pretty far into Vermont before anyone reported them missing.

My thoughts exactly. Nick could have easily shot him and taken them both and ran. I cried like a baby at the Hannah scene. That was so tough to watch. She has to be strong for her and make sure she has a happy life without her. Ugh, just gut wrenching

I can't imagine what they will do with a season 3.

I just don’t understand how they can justify their actions with the Bible. It’s nothing but a desire for power and control, no way can they say it’s what God wants. I wish they would show us exactly what they were proposing pre-Gilead to see how far they’ve strayed from their original purpose. Based on Serena’s recent behavior and obvious regret, I wonder if this is really what they had in mind. During the flashbacks when Serena was trying to give a speech, she said something about embracing your biological destiny, but they didn’t expand upon what she meant. How were they selling it to the public, because I’m sure they didn’t say we will have women slaves to have babies for us. And when they went to Canada , it was obvious they are hiding their actions, so they realize what they are doing is wrong. If they truly believed it was Gods way, they would be open about it.
