is this guy getting a $56Billion compensation because he is doing so well as the CEO? I thought in a capitalistic society CEOs are entitled to humongous compensations because they are better than us, making companies thrive thanks to their superior brains. I am not sure why they seem to be still entitled to humongous compensations when they run the companies into the ground like Musk is doing. |

[Many TPs written by Trump team] Musk says in May his time allocation to DOGE will drop significantly, though he will "have to continue doing it" for the remainder of the President's term for 1-2 days per week. Future of company is "large-scale autonomous car and humanoid robot production". "Lift your gaze to the bright shining citadel on a hill, sort of Reaganesque imagery, that's where we're headed." Claims Tesla is "the least affected car company wrt tariffs". Admits tariffs are tough on a company where margins are "still low." [pause while he checks his notes] Tariff decision is up to POTUS. Elon will weigh in. He is on the record as saying lower is better. "That's all I can do." 45 minutes into the call, Tesla's YTD 37% share price decline has not been addressed. |
