Bundle up and go to school already.

Why are you so rude?

Our early bus to Poolesville was 10 minutes late. Make sure those hats and gloves are on.

It's not dangerously windy.

These excuses continue to get more and more ridiculous.

Do you say that about early release days? Full days or bust?

Yep same with those early release days

I tend to agree, but my 8th grader had a lot going on this week that has all been canceled and reshuffled, so i guess it's better they get back there for 2 days to try to knock some of this stuff out.

It's incredible that some people in this thread have been advocating for taking school away from kids, but the offense you're upset about is someone telling you to put on a coat. In the winter.

Admit it: the roads weren't nearly as bad as you thought.

The main ones have been fine for days. Most people who have been concerned were not talking about those main streets. Discussion was about side streets residential neighborhood streets that had not even seen a plow and were all ice where there are no sidewalks for students to walk to and from their bus stops or to school so they were expected to walk on icy streets to get to and from school busses or to school.

Please buy your kids winter coats so they're prepared in the future.

Hey Sue and Tom! Or is this Chris Cram who is planning to donate a coat to all 160,000 students??

It was fine. We have to walk 10 minutes to a one kid’s school and most sidewalks were shoveled and all roads were plowed, although some were a bit icy. My other kid’s bus to their school was right on time…given that there is more snow expected this weekend, I’m glad they’re getting back to school this week.

If you had the money for private school, your kid would have been back at school on Tuesday. Stop trying to prevent kids from learning.

Wow 38 pages just about snow calls. We have had snow for decades whether you have been attending school or parenting!!! The moderator must be so tired of writing about these snow threads this week.

Let's take down names and addresses for those who need them. What size are your kids?

And yet, they figured it out. Where are all these reports of bus accidents that people claimed to be worried about?
