Unsurprising. Wacko judge will probably arrest them for human trafficking by moving embryos across state lines.

I never thought of this but is a real possibility.

It was obvious IVF would be seriously impacted by the destruction of Roe. Anyone caught off guard was not paying attention at all.

This election.... understand the enormous risks of this unwelcome interference into people fertility decisions and vote accordingly.

I believe our country is overpopulated already, we don't need humans produced by IVF. I will vote accordingly.

And even still, there are legitimate reasons that are none of our business, as to why someone may need to have an abortion sometime after 8 weeks.

What vote is that? Every single candidate is falling all over themselves about protecting IVF regardless of the mean it or not? Which ones are lying?

The irony is that the three couples who brought the lawsuit can now no longer proceed with doing any more IVFs in their state to try to recover from the trauma of losing their embryos. Probably not in any other state since which doctor will work with them now.

who are you to decide when "life" begins? Also, science hasn't proven that a fetus has "consciousness" at 8 weeks. It's all theory, but even so, they theorize that it develops at more like 12 to 14 weeks, but at minimal. There is some sensory at 24 weeks.

At 8 weeks, it is still considered an embryo, and not a fetus.
Terminology is important, y'all.

Let's get this decided by the supreme court using scientific evidence, not feelings

The supreme Court has already sent this issue back to the states. If Alabama wants to have embryo people and not have IVF, that is what the voters of Alabama chose.

For every woman who is worried now about her embryos; transfers or if she can even start IVF - I ask you who did you vote for in 2016; who do you plan to vote for in 2024.

I had my babies. I want to see others be able to as well. But I laugh at those now in Alabama and other places (Texas, Ohio, etc) who said "but her emails" to me. They can stay barren.

Ummmm Trump is looking at calling Embryos people by law. Donalds is introducing legislation in Congress right now. So yeah - the GOP tells you their action plan; they make moves to have that happen and they will continue to do it be it 30 days or 30 years.

Vote accordingly.

but I'm rich and I live in Texas - and then when they declare that the child you had via IVF in Turkey or Thailand not a US citizen then what? They won't stop - this is not hyperbole. There are women in Texas now who can't have D&Cs for miscarriages. This is based in control not science

WTF?! Why would I want justices deciding science vs actual, educated, trained scientist.

Holy $hit.

Why would you want either? These should be private personal decisions like they were for 50 years.

I agree. That’s my point.

Harsh but fair.

Except that every mass shooter was a democrat, what different it will make to them?
