IVF embryos are people too

I had my babies. I want to see others be able to as well. But I laugh at those now in Alabama and other places (Texas, Ohio, etc) who said "but her emails" to me. They can stay barren.

That last line is kinda harsh, but I feel fairly similarly. WTH did these folks who voted in these people think was going to happen? The path to this point in time has been fairly clear, even if it took longer than what the evangelicals worked for.

This is cold and cruel and does NOTHING to help those trapped in these facsist states who just happen to be born there or forced to move for job/family. And don't start with the They should just move. You are so ignorant.

If you really want to do something (besides writing on an anonymous message board) volunteer or donate to the Dem in the March 26 special election to flip a state house seat. Marilyn Lands is a pro-choice Dem running to repeal the no-exceptions abortion ban. She can win but needs help.

Flipping this seat will send a clear message that Americans aren't going to be ruled by a bunch of ChristoFascists. https://www.marilynlands.com/

Come on. How do you know the PP that wrote that is not already doing all these things? Just sounds like the PP lives in a blue state and is pointing out the hypocrisy and BS of their red state relatives.

Barren women shall stay barren regardless of their votes. We don't need artificially created babies. We have millions of newly arrived immigrants who can populate this country with healthy, naturally conceived babies.

Troll or not, there are many people who agree with this decision. People are allowed to have different opinions. But it’s not an opinion you often hear in DC.

The vast majority of people do not agree.

Ok. 👍🏼

People are allowed to have different opinions. If so many people disagree, then they will vote accordingly in upcoming elections and you have nothing to worry about.

We may get to vote for state Supreme Court justices, but we, the people, do not get to pick federal judges or Supreme Court justices. Voters picked the Democratic presidential nominee in 7 of the last 8 presidential elections, but look at the current makeup of the Supreme Court. With tyranny of the minority, we have every reason to worry.

Guess next they will have to stop educating women.

"oh but that will never happen"

The PP was being the typical smug blue state voter looking down on people in red states. The PP has no empathy for the people trapped under fascist rule in red states. It would be similar if someone from Germany said all Americans voted and deserved Trump when half the country didn’t.

You’re right, it can’t be sure this poster isn’t active but I can make an educated guess. Because if they were speaking to voters in red states/red districts (phone bank, canvassing) they would KNOW how had it is to push against minority rule.

Yes, be mad at the politicians and strip mega churches of tax exemptions, but don’t lump all voters in the same bucket. And instead of looking down on people in red states, volunteer and to turn those states purple.

But the barren men. A significant number of IVF procedure are for male infertility. The GOP can screw over women and no one cares. But this IVF destruction is also coming for men.

It hit me this morning that the most hilarious part of this whole thing is that the three couples who filed this law suit and choose the wording that lead to this decision endued up totally screwing themselves in the process as now they can no longer have IVF in their state. Their hypocrisy also hit me too as will bet money they lost/sacrificed/killed many embryos on their journey to have a child through IVF. Guess they never saw that coming. I especially hope they stay barren and never reproduce.

Don't find anything funny about any of it. Maybe the positive side of this is that conservative voters can wake up and see how destructive and abusive the "pro life" position has turned out to be. They were warned, but some people need to be hit over the head with a frozen embryos canister before they can really grasp how invasive and crushing overturning roe is for all of us.

All of them already have children, and they did before the embryos were destroyed in 2020. This has already been reported. So they probably don't really care, since they already got what they wanted.

Yeah, but they won't be getting grandchildren when their kids can't get pregnant without IVF (and likely due to all the plastic and other pollutants that we're no longer regulating).
