When your prep company steal the tests, it's actually called CHEATING. |
No, it’s not fair. Ideally we want to provide equal education here, if people are paying to receive tutoring to inflate test scores while others are unable to afford any tutoring, that doesn’t make your child better. Your child isn’t necessarily brighter. At that point in time they may have more knowledge about how to ace tests but that’s about it, it doesn’t or shouldn’t predict future success. |
We had 8 years of W Bush and 4 years of Trump, both Ivy Leaguers. You may want to sit this one out. |
Asians do value being athletic. I believe the Asiasn countries like Chaina, Korea, Japan ranked very hign on the Olympics. |
Iirc the Penn girl had issues about stuff you can prove You can’t prove race since it’s self identified! |
I know Asian kids that lie about being involved in a country that they are not - so that is the next target to be demolished in admissions. |
It’s weird pp made a dumb post - the best baseball player in the world right now is Asian! |
They can prove lying - and that will get you thrown out of college, at best - they can also revoke your degree. |
I do not get why people think they have any sort of basis to argue against legacy admissions. Being part of the group who “did not have a parent who went to Harvard” is not a protected class under the Constitution. |
And they also understand "southern strategy" and the political shift of southern white racists to the Republican Party since 1964. ![]() |
Just look at the last US Olympic figure skating team. Dominated by Asians. Actually dominated by one ethnicity: Chinese. |
Yes, I believe a motivated bright kid could catch up fairly quickly given the opportunity. It’s not only a matter of affording it. Time, resources available, parental involvement also play roles here. |
Wait, I thought American schools were terrible, and you need nonstop tutoring - so which one is it?? |
You can’t prove lying on something that’s self identified. How do you assert someone isn’t black when they say they are? Are you gonna subject someone to a 23andMe? |
Wrong. It's 1/4. |
