GDS and SFS have around the same number of graduates each year. 15.6% and 12.9% are pretty close—much closer than the difference in 2023. This year, 8 out of 83 (9.6%) GDS students are heading to Ivies so far. In contrast, 13 out of 66 (19.6%) SFS who posted will attend Ivies in the fall.

Just want to add that GDS usually has a larger graduating class than Sidwell. It’s typically about 145-150 GDS students, compared to ~125 graduating Sidwell students.

GDS typically has 125-130 in the graduating class. The classes are only bigger right now due to the current overenrollment issues that started around the pandemic

Over half of 2023 Sidwell grads have posted this year. I’d say that the 20% of those heading to Ivies, who have posted this far, are a good representation of the entire class. Further, if there are zero additional Sidwell students attending Ivies this fall (which isn’t the case), the students who already posted represent 10% of the entire class. That’s still pretty good.
