This is relatively surprising considering how strong GDS was doing at the start. It looked like GDS would solidly outperform them, but Sidwell is on a hot streak now. Doing very very well at T20s and some strong LACs as well - Pomona, Hamilton, Carleton, Hamilton, Midd [/quote]

GDS outperformed Sidwell last year. Holton’s college outcomes are better than NCS this year, based on the instagram posts. Way too soon to call a trend.
The private schools kids will be fine!

I disagree.

In 2022, 102 GDS students posted their college destinations. Among GDS seniors, 16 out of 102 (15.6%) were heading to Ivies. In 2022, 8 out of the 62 (12.9%) SFS students who posted went to Ivies. GDS and SFS have around the same number of graduates each year.  15.6% and 12.9% are pretty close—much closer than the difference in 2023. This year, [b]8 out of 83 (9.6%) GDS students are heading to Ivies[/b] so far. In contrast, 1[b]3 out of 66 (19.6%)[/b] SFS who posted will attend Ivies in the fall.
