List of Insta matriculation pages?

Outsider looking in. Maret seems to be having another strong year. When schools like Maret and Bullis do so well, I wonder what the point of 3-4 hours of homework and stress do in the long run.

This is relatively surprising considering how strong GDS was doing at the start. It looked like GDS would solidly outperform them, but Sidwell is on a hot streak now. Doing very very well at T20s and some strong LACs as well - Pomona, Hamilton, Carleton, Hamilton, Midd

So what?
GDS outperformed Sidwell last year. Holton’s college outcomes are better than NCS this year, based on the instagram posts. Way too soon to call a trend.
The private schools kids will be fine!

Once NCS posts the entire class, I think your opinion may change. My DD is reporting a ton of impressive admits in RD, which haven’t shown up on Instagram yet. They just started posting. Tough results in the early rounds, but NCS seems to have done really well in the end.

This would not surprise me. Sidwell families were all complaining after EA came out that this was the worst year in decades and now are arguably best in DMV

I’m impressed!

The most impressive thing here is that NCS and STA don’t have pages. Good for them.

NCS does: https://www.instagram.com/ncs_2023/

STA not happy with their results.

GDS did not outperform Sidwell last year. However, the outcomes were much closer than they are this year.

Recollections may vary.

And Holton did not outperform NCS this year—lots of Holton’s good results are only due to athletic commits.

If you think a student gets into an Ivy league "only due to athletics," you really have no idea what it takes to be a student athlete. Sounds like NCS was the better fit for you and your child, where balancing athletics and academics isn't taught or learned.

Yes, GDS 22 beat Sidwell 22 hands down.

STA not happy with their results.

I don’t think this is true regarding STA. There is a group of the top students who are unhooked and may not have been admitted to their top choices (which is different than past years), but there are still many boys going to top 25 schools.

STA boys never do an Instagram, I don’t think it has to do with the guys having bad choices.

NCS is doing very well. There are 10+ Ivies or equivalent (Stanford, Duke) who have not posted yet. About half are unhooked.

What happened to all those people who say that college admissions is not why they send their kids to private?

Good question! I guess their kids do not attend NCS?

Some people do, some people don't. Why is that so hard for you to grasp?

It seems like the gauge of how good a private school is - how many ivy plus Stanford and a few others. UVA and below don’t count.
