List of Insta matriculation pages?

Just curious - what is the point of knowing this information?

I used to get creeped out by adult men who were so into the high school football recruiting scene (from the south) and I find this even creepier. These are 18yo kids.

It's not about the kids or looking at their pictures. If the school just published a matriculation list, that would be preferred and easier. It's just a data point in the mad, mad, mad world of college admissions, like the common data set.

It’s public info the students are choosing to share openly. Plenty of people are curious about where seniors end up going to college.

If you find it creepy, don’t look at the pages (but I’m guessing curiosity got the best of you and you did).

Is it icky to go watch high school sports games? I mean, what exactly is the problem here? The information is being put out for public consumption.

Y'all are shameful. Stalking teenagers pages. The insecurity of private parents and the checking of acceptances and then saying that you’re not sending your kid to private school based on the college acceptances. Classic 🤮. “ I’m sending my child here because it’s small and they will get a lot of personalized attention and resouces. They can’t handle the chaos of a large school.” You know you can’t protect your child forever right? I’d much rather help my child navigate the world while they’re under my roof. There must be a stat somewhere about private school kids depression rate as adults.

While you’re at it you should probably stock DMV public school pages you’d be surprised. And probably need a drink at your country club afterwards. Maybe 2!

I also love/am worried that one poster had nearly all of them ready to share rather than different individuals with actual connections to the schools. To that poster, I hope you are okay and ask that you don't come any closer to the kids than those IG pages.

There is nothing stalkerish about checking public instagram pages.

These kids post by their own free will.

It's PUBLIC TO THE WORLD.

Are you 100 years old? Ask your high schooler. Kids who don't want to participate don't. Those that do don't care who sees their posts.

I have kids at two private schools and then did a quick insta search for a few others. I hope you get help with your own bizarre paranoia over this!

Maybe the kids should make the pages private to only their classmates?

Most of these kids are 18. It’s their choice. High school kids share a lot more things of concern on social media than college matriculation plans.

Yes, public and you are very scary. This is not ok behavior. They are kid's Instagram pages for friends. Not cray adults.

They paint a much rosier picture than the reality is turning out to be for kids who are not in one of those categories.
It really cannot be stressed enough this year.

Our child was accepted ED from not a big 3 private, and they are not hooked, nor an athlete, and we are not big donors or legacy
