I can see it, being on a board is for a certain stratum of people. His grandmother is on boards, his dad and brother are (maybe?) on boards, he should be too. Right? He needs to establish himself here as an American prince. So that is proper place. He just needs to make it happen, and hasn't succeeded yet. |
Sadly, many people like PP don’t have the looks or talent to make it with minimal effort..which is why she whines on here and pretends to have a fulfilling career. |
I mean, Harry is making it due to an accident of birth... but I don't hold it against him. Get that bag! |
You know what they say about assuming PP lol. I actually am very lucky and am happily married to a hot guy and make a good salary (more than 100k) in a low stress job that allows me to spend lots of time with my kids. I am qualified for it and it is work and requires skill and I have worked hard to get where I am but like PP, if someone offered me millions of dollars to attend balls in designer clothing while eating delicious appetizers and sipping whine I would peace out in a half second. You would too and you know it. It is weird that you are mad at Harry for being in this situation when the only reason he is in it is because of the family he was born into. It is also weird that you continue to act like he has literally spent his entire life sitting in a palace being served tea. The guy HAS worked extensively with nonprofits and in the fundraising world in addition to serving a distinguished career in the military for a decade. He can fly a helicopter! And like a war helicopter not a 'see the volcano in Hawaii' helicopter. He does have a skillset that is likely very appealing to companies in silicon valley that are dependent on cash infusions from fundraising to get off the ground. I'm not saying he hasn't led a life of extreme privilege, he has, but he has also worked. |
Harry should've gotten an MBA at LBS or Oxford. Lots of formerly military get an MBA at an elite institution and then jump into management/executive roles at companies. |
So should've William. I agree, they both should have. And George and Charlotte likely will, as the BRF continues to modernize. According to wiki, William took some management courses at Cambridge but that's not an MBA. Still, it's better than nothing. |
he had to cheat to pass exams at Eaton - he is not a book smart person |
Bingo! Asking for 10% equity in a tech firm set to go for billions in valuation on the market at the 11th hour - GTFO |
Also - if Meghan were smart she wouldn't have burnt her bridges with the Middletons. Pippa married a billionaire. Connections and networking with that side of the family would have been preferable to this unseemly soap opera. ![]() |
Girl you misunderstood. I was agreeing with you! My comment was directed at the stupid PP who was blasting Harry for having no “marketable skills” or “fulfilling career,” as if he were applying to be an IT manager or something. I would totally peace out of my job if I had the money they do and so would PP, but she can’t so she’s on here whining. Most of these angry women on here are jealous, which leads to anger. |
I agree that it’s ridiculous. He might not be self-aware enough to realize he should be embarrassed. I suspect he may genuinely think he’s really worth huge payouts and equity in soon-to-go-public companies simply because of Who He Is. |
The problem with Harry now is that he's going to become a magnet for fraudsters. Imagine if he goes into business with the next Jho Low/1MDB or he's on the board of the next Theranos.
I hope he has a crack team of lawyers and accountants doing due diligence. He has to be very careful. |
Agree. What he is doing is getting paid to be a celebrity endorser, but he would never lower himself to admitting that he’s merely serving as a celebrity endorser. He wants the prestige and respect that an actual working executive gets. |
I'll also add to this that the BRF were damn fools for not "leaning into" Harry's efforts. He is impulsive and there were very clear signs that he would go independent. Hell, the Firm itself has been saying for years that the BRF would be "slimmed down" to just the core members. They should've helped him with this off-ramp and been an advising partner. Instead, they foolishly opposed and expect him to live at Frogmore and become the next Prince Andrew. So shortsighted. |
They tried for years. Charles offered Harry all sorts of possibilities. Nothing took. |
