The only real concrete thing there is that Harry shopped around a bit, and that some companies weren't interested in him. That happens to almost everyone.

It’s debasing because he’s going out with his hand out looking for free money while provide absolutely no relevant skills, experience or value other than his name and title. Perhaps you would be comfortable with that behavior but I can assure you that most professionals would not.

He has notoriety and fame and networking skills. That is extremely valuable to most companies. Companies don't hand out millions of dollars because they feel sorry for an ex Prince, what world are you living in? They pay them because they believe they will make them more money. That is how this country works. No one is doing Harry a solid and setting him up with an office and a few mill just to be nice. What planet are you living on?

I would be profoundly embarrassed if I was his age and had absolutely no marketable skills other than my title which he did nothing to earn. And if you think hustling for connections like some gen Z influencer is a fulfilling professional career that says more about you.

I actually am very lucky and am happily married to a hot guy and make a good salary (more than 100k) in a low stress job that allows me to spend lots of time with my kids. I am qualified for it and it is work and requires skill and I have worked hard to get where I am but like PP, if someone offered me millions of dollars to attend balls in designer clothing while eating delicious appetizers and sipping whine I would peace out in a half second. You would too and you know it.

It is weird that you are mad at Harry for being in this situation when the only reason he is in it is because of the family he was born into.

It is also weird that you continue to act like he has literally spent his entire life sitting in a palace being served tea. The guy HAS worked extensively with nonprofits and in the fundraising world in addition to serving a distinguished career in the military for a decade. He can fly a helicopter! And like a war helicopter not a 'see the volcano in Hawaii' helicopter. He does have a skillset that is likely very appealing to companies in silicon valley that are dependent on cash infusions from fundraising to get off the ground. I'm not saying he hasn't led a life of extreme privilege, he has, but he has also worked.

According to wiki, William took some management courses at Cambridge but that's not an MBA. Still, it's better than nothing.

Agree. What he is doing is getting paid to be a celebrity endorser, but he would never lower himself to admitting that he’s merely serving as a celebrity endorser. He wants the prestige and respect that an actual working executive gets.

I'll also add to this that the BRF were damn fools for not "leaning into" Harry's efforts. He is impulsive and there were very clear signs that he would go independent. Hell, the Firm itself has been saying for years that the BRF would be "slimmed down" to just the core members.

They should've helped him with this off-ramp and been an advising partner. Instead, they foolishly opposed and expect him to live at Frogmore and become the next Prince Andrew.
