In your opinion who has the best and what do you order?
TIA |
| Sugar Shack in Alexandria. The s'mores one is my favorite but the vanilla-coconut is a close second. |
| Ewww I hate sugar shack. Yuk. To be honest, DC isn't very good at doughnuts. I'm absolutely obsessed with doughnuts and will try any and all but I have yet to have a good experience finding anything in DC. I particularly cannot stand how sugar shack throws cereal on top of a doughnut made from wonder bread and then expects you to be excited. |
| Krispy Kreme |
| Bread Furst. They run out on Saturdays, so be prompt. |
| Goldberg's Hannukuh jelly donuts are fantastic. |
| Fractured Prune |
| Right here. http://astrodoughnuts.com/ |
| Doughnuts in the DC area are mostly terrible. Sure, I like Krispy Kreme, but they're their own category of fluffy confection. For regular doughnuts, I haven't found anything, except, for a while, there was a man who made good doughnuts way out in Haymarket, VA. Not there anymore. Sadness. |

Lots of those suggestions are not in DC.
District Doughnuts. |
| Ain't nothing wrong with Dunkin'. |
| Sugar Shack in Alex for sure. You can smell them making them for blocks around. |
| Astro's are underwhelming, IMO. Looking forward to trying Duck Donuts when they open in Rockville. |

This just made me remembered I had a very detailed dream about donuts last night. Why yes, I am pregnant.
Finding some today. |

I've heard good things about the ones at this Amish Farmer's Market in Laurel:
