Where are the best donuts in DC?

Washington Post did a feature on this in the last year or so. You should try to find it.

Duck Donuts are like Entenmanns. They're good, but they're cakey, and not very special.

Sugar Shack's are completely melt in your mouth.

I stopped eating DD's when I found out they ship them and thaw them instead of baking in store.

The only place I have heard good things about Duck Donuts is on DCUM. Everyone I know IRL who has tried them says they won't go back.

Call me nuts, but I think Safeway makes a mighty fine donut. Also a fan of colossal donuts at Shoppers Food if you're willing to go to the burbs.

Doughnuts are so personal. My friend swears by Astro, but I think they're too too sweet. I prefer Duck.
