Meghan Markle and Prince Harry News and Updates Part 2

And it's not like Meghan is very dark, either.

I still don't get what the "concern" over Archie's color would have been like. I mean he'd come out however he'd come out, nothing to be done about it.

That's not really how genetics work, especially in Black families. Just as likely that the baby would come out looking more like Meghan's mom. And Harry said the question was not just a curiosity, but a "How would this look?" question.

Kate looked the other way and did nothing when she had a chance to help. I'll never believe that William didn't tell her Meghan was struggling. That says a lot about her character.

Kate endured a lot and has her own problems, was pregnant then just postpartum when MM was brought in. Harry's responsibility, not hers. I also don't blame her for not being quick to trust an American actress with all kinds of red flags and attention-seeking behavior.

And Kate’s judgement proved right.

+2 And zero evidence Kate was awful to her. Who knows what the bridezilla encounter was about. All insinuations, no receipts.

why is tear shedding such a bid deal anyway? Someone was upset and cried. ok...do we low up everything over that?

One thing is for sure. Meghan is quite poised and confident. However, I don't think they should have done the interview.

Thank you, Sophie, Duchess of Wessex.

Millions watched them launch their brand. Why would they not do that?

I don't think most Americans get British humour, particularly that of older generations where racist stereotypes were seen as harmless good fun even if said without malice.

Humor, especially around color, is gone, banned from American society. There is no humor anymore.

Pro tip. It was never funny to some of us. We just were guilted/dismissed/threatened to keep our mouths shut

To be fair, all humor seems to be dead. Out of curiosity, what is funny to you? Do you laugh ever? Can you make fun of yourself? I’ve been called pasty white and told that I look ugly like a ghost, why is my face so pale? This coming from person of color. I laughed it off.

I find this interesting:

"I guess the highlight for me is sticking him on the back of a bicycle in his little baby seat and taking him on bike rides which is something I was never able to do when I was young" - Prince Harry

And this...

So HOW would this look? Meaning what? If they were already married and pregnant at the time, it is what it is - it's not like they can go back and get un-pregnant.

And one of them was postpartum, the other a stressed out bridezilla. They probably both cried. Whatever, dudes!

I know it's silly but I've always been a big fan of hers. She seemed like a nice, normal person who just happened to be so pretty that she caught the eye of a prince. She also didn't seem that into the job, like she married him because she loves him not because she wants to be queen that badly.

This news that she didn't stand up for Meghan, that she didn't issue a correction of what really happened with Meghan at the dress fitting, that she is married to a racist who questions the skin color of his nephew, etc.

It's really disappointing. I feel like I can't be a fan anymore.

If you read the press and commentary from the "other side", they say this:

Kate didn't trust Meghan from the beginning. She thought it was all too fast and Meghan seemed too thirsty. And similar to the treatment that she herself received in her day, she took the position of "wait and see if this person earns my trust". She wasn't going to be fast friends with anyone unless she has observed Meghan over a period of time and judged her to be deserving of her trust.

It is not for nothing that you never read any comments from "friends of Kate" - because she vets her friends very carefully.

Plus, Kate sees her role as supportive of William above all else.

Meghan confused that with discrimination and racism.

And I'll say that Kate's judgment turned out to be not completely off base.

She seems like a very clinical person overall. (Kate)

She is a private person. She is reserved. She has a very warm, tight-knit family and photos of her genuine big smile and laugh abound.

I get it. I can't do social media. I won't even let friends post my photo. Keeping your life private and being wary and conservative when meeting new people is not clinical, it's pretty smart.

But, yes, she is definitely "Keep Calm and Carry On". The no-nonsense British "Stiff Upper lip" and anything can be cured with 'exercise and outdoors'.

Frankly, with all of the everyone providing TMI and reality TV, I find it quite refreshing.

You and Kate are positively twinsies! Not that anyone would know because you are both so reserved, and seek to stay out of the spotlight by keeping off social media.

Better than whining about how hard life is while sitting in the lap of luxury, I’d say.

Anonymous wrote:So Meghan’s best friend is married to the son of the ex-Canadian Prime Minister and she admits she was already friends with Eugenie and then wants us to believe she had no knowledge of Harry and his family? And then, despite the fact the most certainly would understand the rules of succession by now, is claiming that Archie wasn’t given a title that he was never going to receive based on the rules of succession anyhow? Two clear lies and she wants us to believe everything else she says with no clear references or receipts? This is what makes me so skeptical of her and what makes her so hard to believe about anything else.

+ 10000000

She just couldn’t help herself. If she hadn’t added the part about Archie not getting a title because he’s black, she would have been more believable. But she just couldn’t help herself.

Omg. Give me a Dubonnet cocktail and afternoon tea. A long hike in the Scottish countryside. I would do just fine in a life of seclusion. They can say whatever they want about me. I’d go on living my best life in private. Kate can win. I’ll play bad cop.

Seriously. Go to some English countryside with the kids, make your one appearance a week, collect your money from granny, rinse and repeat. People have to figure out how to get food on the table and pay their rent, they have real world problems, and she’s sad that her sister in law made her cry over some shoes. That woman’s got too much time on her hands and not enough to do.

Poor little thing. She swam across the pond to escape from misery. Once on land, she found food in a mansion. She was so innocent.

I mean people with taste already do.

Agree
This is not new.
