The lawsuit against Royal Caribbean/toddler death

The mother is an attorney.

The video shows with 100 percent certainty the grand father knew the window was open. He leaned out a couple of times.

he family’s contention is RC chose the two camera angles that favor them to release and that the other 11 cameras show a different view that would support their claims. Maybe RC should release the other 11 views and prove the family wrong.

How would that really help them? All it takes is one camera angle to show the truth. There’s no disputing his head was out the window even if it wasn’t visible in the 11 other angles. It’s like when the police look at any picture/video. They look at all angles and they zoom in. So in 11 angles you can’t tell he’s leaning out, but in 2 it’s indisputable that he is.

The more these people fight this and dig in the more they prove they are just despicable money grubbing terrible people.

Yep. Just like the 'replays' sports officials look at when trying to determine if a call is correct.

There are re-enactment photos on the daily mail (man standing in front of railing holding a doll the size of a toddler). It suggest the only way a fall could have occurred is if the child was held standing on the railing or on the ledge of the window.

1. It's not "just like sports replays" b/c during live sporting events, their are multiple cameras trained on the action and moving their focus as the ball moves. On a cruise ship, the cameras have stationary focus -- they aren't all trained on the same man at the corner of the bar. There would be some that have the bar in their focus area and others that don't focus on the bar.

2. Here is a video of that area on a similar ship. The parents' lawyer is either flat out lying to counter RC's legal pleading, or the lawyer is smoking dope. See the timestamp around 0:50-ish. You can clearly see a woman next to the railing (which comes above her waist and below the breastline), and it would be super easy to lean out toward the window. It would be hard to get your whole head PAST the plane where the glass would be. But, you can definitely get your head up toward the plane where the glass would have been. And the windows are NOT 18 inches from the railing.

Unbelievable....the more I read about the case the more I wonder if the man had some sort of psychotic episode. Anyway, the family is disgusting.

Anonymous[b wrote:]The family is just making themselves look to be bigger and bigger POS.[/b] They need to give it up. Their child is dead because of the idiot grandfather. The videos that were released make it so obvious. They are grainy as F but you can STILL see him CLEAR AS DAY, lean out the window himself and then lift her up. He 1000000000000% knew the window was open. They need to give it up. They are out for a pay day instead of mourning their deAd child and it’s disgusting.

Now I'm just wondering if this wasn't all planned for the money. They are POS people.

So reading this new article in the dailymail has convinced me that maybe the grandpa really didn’t know it was open and really was/is that dumb. That being said, if he’s that dumb, a sign saying “Caution, these windows might be open” would not have helped. I still think the family is in the wrong.

Even if he couldn’t completely lean out of the window there was no way he didn’t know the window was open. What about the breeze in his face? The “ he didn’t know the window was open” is just a BS excuse.

I don't doubt the effectiveness of gravity in Puerto Rico. I question the ability to determine if a window is open or closed.

But how did he think to say it so quickly? Again, I think he’s incredibly clueless and at fault, but supposedly things you say “in the moment” of something traumatic happening are usually true.

The argument goes, now we know RCI is lying. What else are they hiding? Do hotels have windows that open on the 11th floor? Cha-ching. Payday.

I’m sorry but no. Seeing the re-enactment pics just proves the grandfather had to have known the window was open. He would have felt a breeze or seen the child’s hair blowing. Also, the re-enactment with the doll just proves what an IDIOT the grandfather was. Who the hell holds up a 1 year old like that at a window???

RC did nothing wrong. The grandfather is 100% to blame and I hope RC stands strong and doesn’t offer them a dime.

Plenty of hotels apartments and condos have open balconies at heights that are not survivable to fall. See the Eric Clapton tragedy.
