So he paid her because he was afraid he'd get fired by Fox, but he still should be Sec of Defense?

Sounds like he drugged her too, because she doesn't remember what happened in his room.

I think the excuse was, he was also intoxicated.

Have you guys already talked about how someone with poor impulse control and an axe to grind is a bad choice for the nukes gig?

Yes, not that I care or anything.

Biden had three children, two of which turned out to be drug addicted.

Kamala's husband, Doug Emhoff, slaps women.

Get off the cross. We need the wood.

DP. Thank you. So sick of sanctimonious liberals who pretend to be pious and holier-than-thou, all while peddling their own complete sh!tshow - one that the nation has rejected soundly.

DP. Are you unfamiliar with the military? They actually have rules about all of this stuff - the Secretary of Defense should know about them and follow them, right?

The only time I’ve seen a service member punished for an affair under UCMJ was if the affair partner was another service member’s spouse (makes for some hard feelings at work!) or if the affair partner was also a service member and it was fraternization, or if the affair comprised their duty/mission/security.

A National Gaurd solider having an affair with a civilian is unlikely to be prosecuted, which is exactly why he wasn’t.

They don’t necessarily get punished under UCMJ, but they do get sidelined. And the stigma that comes with making bad decisions follows them professionally. It’s going to require some serious acting skills for the JCS to pretend to respect this guy.

Oh, please. Absolutely no doubt plenty of these people have their own skeletons.
DP

Yeah, there are likely more affair partners of senate members than there are of members themselves, if you totaled them up.

According to many DCUM posters, affairs and babies born to single mothers are no big deal.

For the millionth time, there are actually rules about this in the military. And consequences. I get that only 1% serve, but the fact that the military has different rules than the rest of the population is pretty elementary.

Spare me. Plenty of higher up military officers engage in affairs.

Maybe that's the excuse your father or husband told you, but it's not an excuse to have an affair.

I'm not morally against infidelity. I don't care who people sleep with, as long as I don't have to watch or clean up after, but being a serial cheater shows some really poor impulse control, and probably a lack of empathy for your wives and kids. Do you think it's easy for those children? What kind of man is so weak he'd do that to kids?

Whatever, you say? Men do that all the time?

Can't we find one who doesn't flunk the marshmallow test to be in charge of our military?

It is starting to sound like this one is sunk before he even gets to confirmation.

This is what happens when you choose based on looks and Fox credentials.

Have you ever read the relationship forum on dcum? The majority of posters are unfaithful to their spouses. They ask questions constantly about how to deal with their affair partner, how to find an affair partner, etc.

They also blame wives for not having sex with their husbands or gaining weight as the reasons men cheat.

Whatever democrats are posting in this thread about Pete, they apply opposite rules to themselves. They apply absolutely opposite rules to themselves vs Trump, too.

You can’t make this stuff up.

Even if that were true, Why do we want some guy that gets drunk to the point that he can be assaulted against his will as the Secretary of defense? That seems like it was a really stupid thing to do and shows poor judgment.

And don't start in with the victim shaming. I also wouldn't want a woman that drinks too much to be the Secretary of defense.

If you want to party real hard, go with HUD or Doge or something not defense.

PP here. You're preaching to the choir. I'm just saying that I'm not buying that milirary higher ups don't engage in affairs. I don't approve of adultery. Ever.

I don't know about "most," but having three wives and cheating on all of them is definitely on brand for the incoming administration, starting with the top.

Of course, there have also been presidents and many other politicians who are serial cheaters; but their wives choose to stay with them for any number of reasons.

Oh the aggro drunk guy who works out a lot raped the sober Republican woman? Then he had to pay her off?

Conservative women: look at how they treat you. They don’t respect you. They use you, then dump you. How many times does this story need to repeat itself?

Vast majority of the guys I know who had & affair and left their wife + kids for the younger woman are Republicans. This is how they operate.

No one has said that they don’t. We said they get passed over for leadership positions or lose them if people find out.

If you can’t control yourself and live by rules and commitments, why should people trust you and look up to you as a leader when their lives depend on your decisions?
