Conservative DCUM'ers: how far back do you want LGBTQ rights rolled back?

I know you think you're being clever here, but you're actually just embarrassing yourself. In no way should war veterans be compared to people parading around nude. Give us all a massive break.

Actually, I was talking to the lady who wishes trans and gay people would head back into the closet because she doesn’t understand them, wasn’t raised that way and feels uncomfortable areound “those people”.

People who parade nude in front of children— on Florida beaches and the NY streets should be be registered as sex offenders.

I legit must have missed it, but can you link to the post where someone was disparaging homosexuals. TIA!

Muslim Bans
Family separations at the border
Roll back federal protections for LGBT kids
Appoint three justices to the Supreme Court who overturned Roe v Wade
A 5 week government shutdown
Abandoning the Kurds
Unleash the anti mask movement at a time when hospitals were overrun, hundreds of thousands were dying, we had no handle on what COVID was and we had no vaccines
Fail to provide coherent anything from the Department of Education on reopening schools
Roll back critical EPA regulations, especially in the area of clean water
Deny the election results and incite an insurrection
And when he left, take highly classified documents and leve them sitting unsecured in his bathroom

For starters.

We can't take you seriously if you insist on co-mingling woke histrionics and a few bad things he actually did. Care to try again with a legitimate list?

DP... that list is totally legit and you own it. Lame deflection. You people truly suck.

But if you’re frequenting a nude beach, with or without children (though I feel that children should not be welcome in those spaces), you’re de facto consenting to nudity. Walking down a public street during the day and seeing a nude adult is different.

Pp - it’s impossible to consent if you aren’t given a choice

+1
There is one common denominator on this thread - no one wishes for LBGT people to “go back in the closet” or any kind of nonsense hyperbole. No one wishes them to have fewer rights than everyone else. We would simply like them to stop parading around nude. But I guess that’s a bridge too far!

Why? Why is this necessary? And, why in front of children?
Do what you want in the privacy of your home.

Being topless in NYC is legal for all men and all women all year long. I would say that if you saw this in public and you were with a child, you can take your child away from the situation. This is true whether is a group of lesbians as in the video or a single straight woman choosing to walk topless down the street.

Making it legal does not make it right.

Your puritan morals, ethics, and standards are not facts. You and your morals are not right.

So you think this is ok to expose children to?

I think it's fine for them to be topless in public. If someone thinks it's inappropriate for their children to see the upper half of a woman's body then they should remove their children from people that choose to be naked from the waist up. It's incumbent on you as a parent to police your morals. It's not the job of every other human on the planet to conform to your standards.

They are not just topless. They are totally nude. Men.

Why? Why is this necessary? What is the point?

From their signs it looks like a body positivity movement. Personally, I have few objections to nudity that is not sexualized. If people are riding bikes nekkid or dancing in a fountain, it seems pretty joyful and benign to me.

That’s what I love most about nudists. At least where I live, it’s different ages and body types. They promote feeling good and accepting yourself and others. It’s not sexual.

That's lovely. They can take their promotion of feeling good to nudist camps and other places where it is legal. Not on public streets.

It’s legal in some places. Sit down and while you do that, do some research.

Public nudity is not illegal in Washington state. Dykes on Bikes has been a thing at pride parades for decades. Being a nudist isn’t a queer thing, since it doesn’t have anything to do with sexuality, but some queers are also nudists. The topless lesbians always seemed like a middle finger to the patriarchy to me, but you may see it differently.

What I would like to know is why is it an emergency now?

Because they’re desperate to feel scandalized and oppressed. Because of their internalized body shame instilled in them by their religious upbringing, they believe that everyone is going to be upset that a group of queer women are not wearing shirts at Pride.

It’s something you learn eventually. People make the assumption that they are a template of what is “normal”. My mom for example, hates gay people because of her family and religious upbringing. She thinks thinks this is “normal” and everyone hates gay people.

Exactly this.

And a lot of his rudeness was a response to constantly being attacked and having to defend himself. The left has been relentless, and frankly, he’s survived it all. His policies were good for America, not globalism, which means a lot of politicians and those that thrive on big government were going to have financial sources dry up. Let’s face it, the only reason that China is embraced and protected by the left, despite their atrocities, is due to money

I didn’t really know what to think, and grew up to become a moderate voter who has some progressive beliefs. I’m hardly conservative but not very liberal either.

Now I’m really concerned the minister and others were right. Now gay marriage is legal and we have drag queen events at my local bookstore in a small town. The transgender kid thing is bizarre and doesn’t make sense. I was recently asked at the on-gyn if I identify as a woman or man or if I’m a man or woman. It seems like gay marriage has made everything worse. I don’t want homosexuality in my face and don’t want my kids exposed at a young age. It used to be a fringe lifestyle and now it’s something young kids are exposed to on a regular basis. Make it stop.

Why? Because gay people forming families in a manner you are unfamiliar with makes you uncomfortable? Sounds like a you problem. The solution to your being uncomfortable should be solved by making LGBTQ people more uncomfortable by shoving them back in the closet. LGBTQ has always existed and will always exist and no one should have their family marginalized because your issues. It should be solved by asking “what would Jesus do”? And I realize your preacher taught you the answer was hatred and fear. But the Bible is pretty clear that you should lead with love, empathy and an effort to understand and accept others.

I grew up in the rural South in a conservative church without trans kids too. And I’m not going to pretend that I “get” it. What I do get, especially after talking with—and much more importantly listening too— my own college aged children and my friends with non-binary and trans kids, is that these are very vulnerable kids and a large percentage commit suicide. I would rather feel uncomfortable with the increased visibility of trans kids than have those kids kill themselves because they are square pegs who cannot not fit through round holes.

And BTW, gay marriage didn’t “cause” kids to become trans. What it did was allow kids who were already trans to finally get the help and support they needed.

And drag shows/ drag Queen story hours have been around forever. They are just more visible because RWNJs think people like you will be outraged enough to vote for Trump. And, to be fair, your most makes it clear they are right. If they bother you, don’t go.

I disagree with the bolded pretty strongly. While gay marriage doesn't cause kids to be trans, when the whole gay movement went from LGB to LGBT, it condoned T to the point where it has become a fad of sorts. There is no way in hell the number of kids who claim to be trans are actually trans. And, wth is nonbinary? That does not make sense to me.

If you don't "condone" the T, then what do you do to trans people? Condemn it? Asking as the trans person that posts here. Trans people aren't new. I was a trans kid before I was a trans adult. Gay marriage wasn't legal then.

It’s not ridiculous to posit that gay children are being converted into trans women or men. Look at Iran.

No. It is, in fact, ridiculous. Link to some sort of proof or sit down.

https://web.archive.org/web/20090416140030/http://www.cbc.ca/arts/film/story/2008/08/26/f-homosexuality-iran-sex-change.html

Yes it is true.

"Iranian-born herself, the New York-based filmmaker learned that in Iran, homosexuality is a crime punishable by death. But the government has provided a way out for the nation’s gays and lesbians: a sex-change operation. Fully paid for by the state, the procedure would allow these people to conform to Iran’s theocratic standards of sexuality."

Forcing gay individuals to transition to be accepted or die is abuse of the highest order.

Would I have taken my kid when she was under 10? I don’t know, but I’m not those parents. It’s not like you’d accidentally be in the route of a pride parade.

I don’t find nudity inherently sexual. As a matter of fact, I find sexualizing nudity to be rather creepy. If you feel scandalized by some breasts and peens, then don’t take your child. No need to blow your lid about it.

Since we’re not allowed to be gender critical because that’s what right wingers do and they’re bigots, shouldn’t it be concerning that the most homophobic countries are the ones that are most trans-friendly?

Not necessarily. Being trans has been a thing in some Eastern cultures going back millennia. Being trans and being gay are completely different things. What they have in common is sex organs and being a minority. Which are both flashing red lights for the God and guns crowd.

This is a ridiculous lie that your lying movement keeps telling. I’m from one of the cultures that trans activists love to cite as “recognizing” transgenderism and its a damn lie. Absolutely no one in any culture before white Americans and Europeans invented transgenderism has ever thought that men that want to be women are actually women. Ottomans didn’t think eunuchs were women. Polynesians didn’t think Faafine were women. South Asians don’t think hijiira are women. The Touareg men who wear makeup are fully gender-conforming in their culture because pageantry is a MALE pursuit in Touareg culture.

All of these cultures recognize that gender non-confirming men are still men even if they are allowed around women as long as they are not attracted to women.

“Trans women are women” is a Western invention that you’re trying to cram into other cultures’ mouths. It’s very racist, very dishonest, very disgusting. Own your own cultural inventions.

Are any of the trans activists here going to respond to this post or were you all just baldfaced lying about transgenderism being accepted around the world?
