Pelosi was able to take a bathroom break and use his phone in the bathroom. He could have simply told the police there was an intruder in the house, but he said it was a friend, David. He must have sounded confused because they did a wellness check. At his age, he very well could have been confused, and that's just fine. The important thing is the police got to the scene on time. People are asking to see footage because of all the changes to the details of what happened.

Either way, his neighbors and his Ex-Wife have made it perfectly clear that the man was decidedly mentally unwell. People here want to state that he is mentally well but being MAGA makes him mentally unwell. PP talked to him, was able to call police, tried to keep him calm until the cops got there. The cops coming in may have triggered the guy to go for the hammer and he hit Paul with it. We don’t need to know every detail. We know there was a break-in and an assault and who was the intruder/assailant and who was the victim.

I didn’t say I was entitled. I said it would help clear up what happened. What you state happened is what you are being told happened, but again, that story has changed three times so far at the very least. Imagine this was George Floyd and you just had to take the police version of what happened, that there was no video of any kind. Sure, but why do those questions need to be answered immediately. Obviously there will be a trial where all of this gets reviewed, I don't see why the family has to be pressured to answer questions immediately just to stave off conspiracy theorists which seems to be the only rationale you're providing. If it hasn’t been reported that DePape was in his skivvies, why would anyone think he wasn’t dressed and why would the police need to confirm what he was wearing?

I don't believe one way or the other. What I'm seeing is a story where the details keep shifting. The audio recording conflicts with the statement. Then they retracted their statement that someone opened the door that clearly wasn't the Pelosi or his attacker, because both had their hands on the same hammer. Pelosi was able to take a bathroom break and use his phone in the bathroom. He could have simply told the police there was an intruder in the house, but he said it was a friend, David. He must have sounded confused because they did a wellness check. At his age, he very well could have been confused, and that's just fine. The important thing is the police got to the scene on time. People are asking to see footage because of all the changes to the details of what happened.

Either way, his neighbors and his Ex-Wife have made it perfectly clear that the man was decidedly mentally unwell. People here want to state that he is mentally well but being MAGA makes him mentally unwell. That''s, well, insane He's mentally unwell because he thinks he's Jesus and talks to angels, etc. The media seems to want to ignore that fact. Inconvenient? I don't know.

Again, what entitles you have access to the video? The police have it. The guys lawyer will have it. The prosecutor will have it. This isn’t a TV show scripted for your entertainment. It looks like the guy broke in, went looking for Nancy. Paul P woke up. The guy didn’t attack right away. He asked where’s Nancy? PP talked to him, was able to call police, tried to keep him calm until the cops got there. The cops coming in may have triggered the guy to go for the hammer and he hit Paul with it. We don’t need to know every detail. We know there was a break-in and an assault and who was the intruder/assailant and who was the victim.

I didn’t say I was entitled. I said it would help clear up what happened. What you state happened is what you are being told happened, but again, that story has changed three times so far at the very least. Imagine this was George Floyd and you just had to take the police version of what happened, that there was no video of any kind. Imagine if we were told as a nation that we were not entitled to see that, that you don’t need to know every detail.

If its so obvious, there is no reason to hide the bodycam/security cam/dashcam footage.

If my house getting broken into becomes and the focal point of a nationwide slander attempt with my surrogates claiming its a politically motivated assassination attempt right before an election, and I don't do anything to tamp that down right quick, then yes. There are all sorts of people who could clarify the situation with a word or the stroke of a pen, but do not want that to happen.

So what is the story that you think actually happened? Who's in on it? I don't have a clear picture of the conspiracy here yet. Capitol police don't protect the personal residence 24/7, that has already been stated by authorities, do you think all of those authorities are lying? That all Capitol Police who would know if this was true or not are witholding comment on the truthfulness of that? That would extend to a lot of people, right? Their friends, families, etc? All staying mum because they all have been personally threatened or something? I'm trying to piece together your logic of how this actually is working, can you help me?

See, when you start to think that what would be 100s, possibly 1000s of people have to be keeping quiet to make some scenario work, I can't support the logic here.

The more simple explanation is that his home wasn't under guard at that time, it got broken into, and he got hurt. Occom's razor is where my logic goes.

You are repeating misinformation and disinformation. The intruder was clothed. No one ever said anything different except for one reporter who got wrong and then corrected it. He broke in. He wasn’t invited. He was delusional. None of those things are in doubt.
