When are you going to stop wearing masks indoors (stores, etc)

I have already had two quarantines this school year and I cannot afford another one.

PP here. I should add the at the mandatory quarantine isn’t just for the positive kid but for all the kids in the class. I hope all the other parents are masking too. We are all in this together if any kid tests positive. It’s a small thing to do for the sake of all the working parents in the class.

I think quarantine rules will have to change as states accept COVID as endemic. Especially since the vaccine is not proving effective at preventing transmission. It’s baffling at this point that there are different rules for vaccinated and unvaccinated kids at this point.

I stopped a while ago and don’t care what others think. Masking clearly didn’t do a lot during omicron and is more virtue signaling than anything else. Everyone will eventually stop masking so it’s not like you’re doing something others won’t eventually do.

Once you stop masking, the people still masking seem even sillier. It’s like wiping down your groceries at this point.

Are you always this dumb? And you do realize that you are doing the same thing as "virtue signaling"? "I'm making my point by not masking!" So, watch out kettle . . .

She's right though. Virtue signally by pro-actively doing something ineffective is now just funny.

The pro-maskers and covid fanatics are now resorting to name calling because they know their masking is pointless.

No, not masking isn’t virtue signaling. We have never continuously worn masks and we should especially not do so now that it’s very clear they do little good. It’s time to move on.

The health officials literally said that masks, especially cloth masks, are all but facial decorations against omicron.

It’s kinda the opposite, you’re wearing a mask that has not much of an impact just to prove you’re a “good boy”.

You might as well wear a shirt that says “I follow the rules just because…”

Is there actually a requirement to mask in USPS? As of today? CDC says DC is low transmission. My federal office has removed mask requirements, as has my spouse’s federal office. As we all know the local mask ordinance is gone too. USPS is not a health care facility, and it’s not an airport or plane. Is it just an employee on a power trip I’m free to ignore next time? I said I did not think they were required anymore, but thanked her with pretend sincerity for informing me of the requirement, she took my package, but said I needed one next time.

Sometimes I get secondary infection in my ears and sinuses. Ever since I started wearing masks indoors—nada. I’ll continue while shopping and in medical/dental appointments.

Me too! My mild asthma is completely gone and my doctor wants to know if I switched medicine ? I am happy to wear my mask forever.

If any staff had theirs on, I will too.

Ps calling someone else’s behavior virtue is the saddest dog whistle. Slide whistle version…no one takes you seriously when you go there.

If masks are useless then why are they required at my cancer center? They’re not useless for us - patients and staff. Don’t judge when you have no idea what others are going through.

And what about people who wear the KN95s because they understand that cloth masks are useless? Are we just virtue signaling too? Spoiler alert— I don’t care what you think about my virtue or lack thereof.

lol at masks being little to no good. We get it - you don't like masks and you feel better about your decision not to wear them. Do you get antsy when you see people with masks on?

And yes, not masking itself is virtue signaling as well.

We are a family of 6. All except the little one are vaxxed. DW and I will continue masking in stores as long as our youngest isn't vaccinated.
