Because I sincerely don't understand why people continue to wear masks indoors in these circumstances. I'll just ask - why then?

Because cases are not low, OP. People are still dying in large numbers. The USA has the highest Covid mortality of ALL wealthy nations, because its people are emotionally immature, refuse delayed gratification, are bad at math and are somewhat lacking in moral fiber.

You can choose to reject all these things, and never experience anyone in your circle dying from Covid. You may never catch Covid. You may have had a very mild case and believe that all cases are mild.

I don't care. I will do the right thing. You will do the wrong thing, persuaded you're not a bad person. We will agree to disagree.

and you think me not wearing a mask in Safeway is the cause of this? wtf

As long as the majority our healthcare providers (and teachers) are asking us to wear masks I will. It is so little to ask for what they have to go through.

People aren’t often dying of covid in ERs…they’re usually transferred to units if they’re too sick to discharge.

I find it no big deal to wear a mask in indoor public places, so I plan to continue to do that for awhile. I have really liked way less illnesses in my house.

I really don’t want to. Wear a mask forever if you want. I don’t care. But I’m not wearing one.

If you eat indoors, just stop wearing the mask at the grocery store etc now. Eating in close quarters is the highest risk activity of them all and the cause of much of the spread of this disease.

I think masks should be optional but idk when I am going to stop. Whenever I feel like. Maybe when numbers are really low or this summer. I’m not sure. If the workers are required to make - I try to wear masks. I don’t want it to be like a class thing on who masks.

I’m pregnant, so I’ll certainly keep wearing a mask until after delivery. I don’t eat out, either. Afterwards, I’ll probably keep wearing a mask just because I enjoy how it eases my innate social anxiety.

I don’t give a flying monkey what you choose to wear on your face.

Not before my 3 kids under 5, including a newborn, are vaccinated.

I don’t know that I’ll ever go back to not wearing one at the grocery store…it’s been two years since I’ve had so much as a cold. So, especially in winter, probably never. And yes, I don’t care if you want to see my face. Similarly, on an airplane? It’s never coming off. I’ve traveled during Covid and unlike during the before times, I didn’t get the travel cold…so yeah, never.

I can think something odd or nonsensical without it “bothering” me.

Not this week since I have Covid. Maybe next week.

+1. You do realize, pp, that you look like a bit of a fool when you are alone in your car or walking by yourself and are wearing a mask? It doesn’t bother me- I just think you’re announcing your neurosis to the world.

I wore my KN95 mask in the grocery store the other day because I have Covid. Couldn't get groceries delivered. Maybe they have Covid.

I know - someone once yelled to me that I didn’t need a mask - and I was like my kid has covid - I’m wearing this for you.
