Actually, just before it passed she spoke and finally took full accountability. I know maybe too little too late for some. But we have to figure out a way to move forward. They also agreed to have an external law firm conduct a new investigation, one who has not worked with FCPS for 10 years.

Her resignation as well as Boyd’s is how we move forward. I honestly don’t even care about Overton. The leadership was an absolute failure, it’s certainly not the first time. It won’t be the last. She didn’t take accountability because she has integrity, it’s because she ran out of options.

Sorry but Overton and Thompson can’t get a pass here. If even 1/10th of the bullying claims are true Overton should never be allowed in a school setting again.

I don’t think they should get a pass. I just mean my primary concern is the absolute failure of leadership at every turn.

I can’t BELIEVE one Hayfield booster parent likened the current Hayfield Football situation to the movie “Remember the Titans” about the 1970 something T.C. Williams HS football team that did win a state championship the right way. “Remember what side you were on.”

Well, I will always be on the side of morals, ethics, integrity, team building and solid coaching and mentorship. None of those exist in the current situation at Hayfield. It was a very poor comparison and I had to laugh out load when she was speaking, and was then cut off.

At the end of the meeting (around 11:00 PM) matteo Dunne kept putting up amendment after amendment regarding accountability, oversight and transparency.

Sandy Anderson and Meren seemed very peaved about it

If you weren't able to finish the meeting or care about transparency, then it is worth pulling up the meeting from last night and watching the last hour.

Dunne has ended up being a great school board rep for the entire district and especially moderates.

Why are we committing to spend mor money on this if we already investigated? Just go with the VHSL findings at this point.

Did vhsl investigate internal communications at the principal and gatehouse levels?

Some at Hayfield, including Apostle Karen, started promoting the hashtag Remember the Hawks while ago. 100% believe they hope to get movie and book deals out of this.
