Hayfield Football Coach Fired

Anonymous
That latest Fairfax Times article reads like the Pentagon Papers. Actual emails and correspondence that plainly shows how shady these county government employees were. And how many “whistleblowers” were trying to sound alarm with FCPS leadership. At this point, no way to conclude anything other than willing and irresponsible lack of professional responsibility.

And “Friday Night Lies” is an all-time hall of fame headline.

Whoa. This is one of my kid’s teachers…she is a middle school English teacher at Hayfield and has a son on the team. I thought Overton warned staff not to talk about this. I guess that does not apply to his supporters. I’m so concerned for the kind of education my child is getting at this school under Thompson’s leadership. This is about so much more than football.

Was a white lady on channel 4 with a son on the team talking about all the anti black racism the team has been experiencing.

For those just tuning in… what does this mean?

Nothing.. they voted her non compliant about systems safeguarding student records after that whole FERPA disaster last year when they gave a random mom a couple thousand kids personal info. They still say how great she is and worth that early contract and raise anyway. Hope everyone remembers this when it’s time to vote. Only 3 of them should even be considered for reelection. She’ll just have to do an “investigation” that no one can see and then pinky promise that it’s all better and that FCPS is incapable of being wrong.

Actually, just before it passed she spoke and finally took full accountability. I know maybe too little too late for some. But we have to figure out a way to move forward. They also agreed to have an external law firm conduct a new investigation, one who has not worked with FCPS for 10 years.

Why are we committing to spend mor money on this if we already investigated? Just go with the VHSL findings at this point.

Okay, I’ll agree that “Friday Night Lies” is a good one. But please stop embarrassing yourself by comparing the article to the Pentagon Papers. It’s making me think this is Asra posting. 😂

He is said to have early on used Overton as his single source to say that VHSL had not sent a sanction letter to Hayfield (which was wrong). He later was mostly silent as Fairfax Times was posting texts, etc. but I just saw on Nov 15 he posted on his X: “If the glove don’t fit you must acquit.” Presumably after court said Hayfield could play. He used OJ as a comparison??? He then now has a 1:1 with Dunne. Is he trying to look more neutral now? Whatever the case….compare to OJ???

Well OJ didn’t do it and they didn’t prove Hayfield did it either. That all the man was saying.

OJ did in fact, do it.

The man who broke the case pleaded the 5th when asked if he planted evidence. That should’ve been all anyone ever needed to hear about that case.

The Hayfield case has some questionable texts from the AD and people want to convict Overton. He didn’t text anyone.

I am impressed you are able to keep breathing with your head buried so deeply in the sand.

Doesn't take much time or money for someone to just glance at some fake residency paperwork.

Her resignation as well as Boyd’s is how we move forward. I honestly don’t even care about Overton. The leadership was an absolute failure, it’s certainly not the first time. It won’t be the last. She didn’t take accountability because she has integrity, it’s because she ran out of options.

Sorry but Overton and Thompson can’t get a pass here. If even 1/10th of the bullying claims are true Overton should never be allowed in a school setting again.
