This is so off point on what the real issues are. She is still close with many of her fellow actors from "Suits" and she also finished filming and didn't quit the show and leave them in a lurch. As for Oprah come on who would not want to have Oprah at their wedding. I need Oprah's advice!

Yeah, y’all keep repeating this rumor about Oprah meeting Markle for the first time at her wedding, but that’s not true. I’ve searched the web looking for this I information and it’s just not there. It’s like elements school kids in here, repeating lie after lie, nasty rumor after nasty rumor with nothing to back it up. I guess if you repeat a lie often enough you will get enough people to believe it.

Mildly curious, when did Meghan meet Oprah for the first time? I don't care if it's a rumor either way but nothing kills a rumor as quickly as disproving it.

About 10 pages back there were a few posts talking about how the Markle half of the wedding was dominated with Hollywood names with no one from Meghan's childhood or family or school or even college years. The only person was her mother. Which, when one thinks about it, is a bit unusual. It does lend support to the theory that she's a social climber at heart.

Except the Wikipedia article on her wedding has a list of her friends that attended. But that doesn’t for your narrative does it?

Kate Middleton (who I also like) seems to literally have no friends besides her sister but you never hear anyone talking about that.

I was just thinking the same thing! So many moments when I hoped my neighbors weren't looking out their windows and thinking how ridiculous I probably looked. Don't get me started about the first time I took the dog and the baby out at the same time. Oy!

LOL, I'm the PP who said I hope it wasn't the real baby. I'm right there with ya, sister! I still remember the first time I tried putting my baby daughter in the bjorn and taking my dog for a walk. It was a freaking disaster and I did not have a big glowy smile on my face b/c I was terrified that I was suffocating my baby. I'm glad there were not paparazzi tracking my every move but still.... I just had a thought. Hmm did they have Archie decline HRH because it would have been difficult to permanently take him out of the country as someOne in line for succession ie number 7? Did Meghan insist in case she wanted to dump Harry and little Archie not being royal makes it easier to get custody?

You had me intrigued so I looked it up. And I see a list of names from her Suits day, and the previous Canadian PM's daughter. That doesn't dismiss the claim that no one from Meghan's pre acting life seemed to be at the wedding, no childhood friends or relatives or close family friends, except her mother. Its strictly celebrity and those related to her Suits career. It's as if she cut off not only her entire family save mother, but anyone from her life before Suits, even her college sorority.

Will and Kate have a close circle of friends, which was abundantly visible at their wedding. Since they dated from university days it's your classic group of posh college friends. Will and Kate were always photographed going to their weddings too. Kate is clearly very close to her family. But she also seems close to a few other long standing discreet friends and staffers.

I can understand life changes pushing you into different directions and old friends growing apart. Nonetheless, the distinct absence of any family and old friends at Meghan's wedding to Harry was noticeable.

No, the title doesn't change the Crown's control over the grandchildren. It's mostly because Harry wishes wasn't a prince, and the Phillips kids seem pretty happy.

You do know that when Charles dies, which he will eventually (he's over 70 now) if for some horrible reason Will and his kids died too - in a car crash or freak accident or whatever - then Harry would need to step in to be King and his son would be the next King.

Its happened before with King George.

I’ve never been to a royal wedding, but I’ve been to enough regular weddings to know that brides do not escort even their closest friends to their seat before the ceremony. Is that a custom in your culture? Kate certainly didn’t come out to seat anyone.

Neither of us had Oprah Winfrey as a guest. I sure would have had someone there to escort her.

It would go to Harry as 2nd son of Charles and then to Archie his son.
Edward is so far out of the picture now after Archie it would be ANDREW (god forbid) then his kids then Edward then his kids. Anne unfortunately is not in the running. Old rules. Changed for new generations only.
