That’s dumb. Super easy to quietly tail then. I’m sure the paps know where they are staying. Doubt they brought the kids. They bring all this on themselves. Just allow a few photos and carry on. I’d rather be photographed for 15 minutes straight back to my hotel than ride around for 2 hours trying to lose them.

So just let the man rape you because if you resist then you are to blame for what he did to you? What the hell kind of logic is this?

So you’re equating a celebrity getting their picture taken in public to being raped? Just no.

It's not for you to decide what level of intrusion is acceptable for others. Michael Jackson was similarly hounded by the paps and folks called him crazy for trying to protect his and his family's privacy. YOU are not entitled to being entertained by someone's else misery. You sound like you have nothing going on in your life.

“Oh those bloody paparazzi” she exclaims as she smiles for the cameras and fluffs up her hair

Meghan’s fans use crackhead logic. If you want a quick distanced peek at Internet Hour at the Insane Asylum, check them all out at Cele(rhymes with witchy). It’s a riot!

I think Meghan is part Navajo? So yes, taking her photo is like stealing her soul, unless it’s for the (back) cover of The Cut.

I think it is more like, jump in the tiger cage and then complain when the tiger tries to eat you.

Yes, the paps do seem like vicious animals and the people who consume this kind of media are most certainly the spectators in the coliseum.

Yep, no way this happened. Look forward to the new documentary on Harry's recurring nightmares triggered by this event. It will be like watching the slide show of your uncle's European trip.

It's interesting that the coverage is shifting from "What Happened?" to "What Really Happened?"

Sorting by top comments, Times readers (since you need to have an account and can’t post purely anonymously) seem very much over this pair of histrionic liars.

This is a complete 180 from the comments after Oprah and the Spare.

Wow. Public opinion of them in the US has really changed. At the time of Oprah ppl were just lapping up everything they said.

Not true. They are hated here by online troll and monarchists there. The account here is being twisted, no mention of chase before cab ride, twisted words ( no one ever said high speed chase), etc. They didn't do anything wrong. They were chased, they didn't want people at their door step, they didn't exaggerate anything. But all the trolls are. The interesting thing isn't the incident, it's the aftermath, just like the book. It's you, not them. You'll eventually get tired of it. Now go watch Kate play the palace piano for 30 seconds in a gown. Then go get a hobby.

I do. It's very clear.

Almost sounds as though they are going out of their way to not call the Sussexes liars.

Not going out of their way. Just stating the facts. You are the only ones calling them liars.

I think their driver nearly hurt someone(s) and this was their way to spin it.

"Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's driver gets pulled over after he was observed by NYPD swerving, blocking traffic, and almost hitting pedestrians while trying to evade the paparazzi." A "source" says this, so not saying it is fact....

Yawn, there are 500 comments on the Harry and Meghan article on the NYTimes site that was published yesterday, and 1k on the Feinstein article posted 45 mins ago. Fewer people care about this than you realize.
